Strategy Roll - Tau
Once again as battle is joined the Hero appears over the battlefield. Seeing the Supa Stompa it releases both salvo's. Both missiles hit for full effect and the war engine is reduced to a pile of metal, steam and grots. The remaining stompa's are broken but stay put.
The flight of 4 Fightabomma's are put on CAP.
AMHC-2 are order to advance to take the Zzap gunzmob under fire. With just the oddboy in range the gunzmob takes it overwatch shot, downing one Hammerhead. Only 4 tanks are left to shoot and they all miss.
The 5 Fightabommba's are then ordered to ground attack. they head down the eastern edge to attack AMHC-3. The attached skyray is unable to hit any of the planes. One Hammerhead is destroyed.
The Barracuda's are then ordered to intercept the 5 fightabomma's. They fail to activate and stand down.
The Landa is now ordered to Air Assault AMHC-2. The skyray hits the landa, causing one point of damage that doesn't go critical. The AMHC cause 2 hits, which kill gretchin. The orks only manage one hit in return, which is saved! The orks go into resolution at +2 (Double outnumber) and win by 3. The broken 3 Hammerheads break forward to hid behind some buildings. The orks consolidate into the nearby buildings, but not all make it.
Recon Black now calls a co-ordinated fire with the scorpionfish. They double over to bring the boyz mob into range of all their guns. In a hail of fire not hits are scored!
The scorpionfish now sustains fire, using its sub munitions missiles to target the boyz. 4 units are hit killing 3 boyz and a Nob. The formation is broken and the orks retreat to the western Tau take and hold.
The Zzap BB now doubles forward. One oddboy hits AMHC-1 killing one Hammerhead.
AMHC-1 are order to double but need the assurance of the Shas'O that its for the best (SC Re-roll). They target the landa, which is destroyed as it breaks in range of Recon Black.
The Soopa BB now double forward and shoot at the crisis suits. No hits are scored.
The AX-1-0 is ordered to ground attack, but seeing that the barracudas didn't fly they decided to stand down as well!
The KOS double forward and shot at the broken AMHC-2. Only one is killed for the blast marker.
Recon brown double forward towards the KOS. One tetra crashes into a tree as they leave the forest. They shoot at the KOS but no hits are scored.
The crisis suits advance to shoot at the KOS. 4 warbikes are destroyed and the battlesuits use their jetpacks to move away from the recon group. (They would have been intermingled without this move).
AMHC-3 are ordered to advance but the order is misplaced (4 failures this turn!). They fire anyway using guided missiles to hit the Soopa BB. 2 hits kill 2 flakwagonz.
End Of Turn5 Fightabomma's fly off the south edge with 2 BM.
4 Fightabomma's remain on CAP.
