I'm SOOO happy I bought tyranid infantry by the cartload when it came out. Its the most difficult of all infantry to get since there arent the vast stockpiles out in the market like other armies.

Yes, THANKYOU for rubbing my nose in it P, most helpful... ?:L

Hi!

Hey, what good is it to have a primarchload if you can gloat....  :;):  :D

Seriously though, it was through sheer luck and necessity. Thats about when I closed the store and I had to make my last orders through my retail contacts. Since it was at a discount I decided to buy a lot since I did not think I could get a good price like that again.

I was right.  :;):

That's all I ever bought, also. One little box with only 5 sprues. ?:( ?Makes me wish i had bought more at the time, but then I again I say that for just about all epic minis! ?:D

Hi!

I dont recollect the exact amount, but it may have been close to 50 boxes.....  :;):

Then again at 50% (more or less) retailer discount it was hard to pass up.

I miss those days... sigh...  :(

No doubt. ?I should have dropped a couple hundred bucks when infantry sprues were $3.50 each and Slaanesh scout titans could be had for $3.00.

Hi!

That was my gut reaction during that time...

"wow, these things are kinda cheap, let me spend some money"  :)

I beleive during that time alone I may have dropped 1k just on infantry sprues over the course of one year. I figured I could always get vehicles, but plastic infantry could be made scarce. I guess I was right on that too.... :;):

That was my last great buying binge.  :)

Funny, I do not regret the "normal stuff" like troops. I regret things that I kept saying, I get this late because I need some more tanks/troops/etc.

I wish I had picked up at least one of the Marine Drop Ships (big ugly block one), a Psi-itan, some more of the Gatling Gun from the First metal Warlord, stuff like that. Items I did not need right away so I sat on them too long. ?:{

dafrca

Hi!

My thought process was the other way around. I was VERY worried about "common" stuff. I wound up picking up lots of that. The "rare" stuff got picked up almost as an afterthought. With the excpetion of the exodites (which I really wanted), I wouldnt have minded not getting the other stuff.

Of course, thats easy to say since I gots mine.....  :;):  :D

I deeply regret not buying heaps more infantry sprues when they were really cheap a couple of years ago... $5-6 NZ each when they had been $20! I did get about 10 each of chaos, nids, eldar, and guard though, so at least that golden time wasn't a complete loss :)

Hi!

I sort of think that many of us thought it would stay that way a lot longer than it did. It was withdrawn so abruptly too. Not much time to react before it was all gone.... :(

Absolutely! I'd do the same thing too....

I picked up a stack of IG spues and a smattering of SM and Chaos too, allowig me to complete my armies in progress there.  But now I've expanded to Nids as well, my lack of forethought is proving more than a little costly.  :{

Hey Primarch, I'm curious - is there any single Epic model which you don't have at least one (or 10) of? ??? :laugh:

Tell me about it. I worked in GW for the life span of Epic40k and I didn't even have the time to get what I wanted.

Nope.  :{

I agree, it all ended so suddenly. What's particularly ironic for me is back when everything was available, I didn't have the income to supprt my epic habit. Now that I am earning more, what I want isn't available.  :(

The available funds vs time to play equation is the most ironic foible of a wargamer's life.  The two are never in balance and just frustrate the hell out of everyone :angry:

Well finally got my Cobra & Scorpion today ... Very Nice ! According to Troll I just called, my Storm Serpent and Void Spinner will be here Monday (!), but the Firestorms and Revs. are out-of-stock !  So my quest for the new E:A Eldar continues ... :{   Hope I don't have this much trouble with the F/Orks, but I doubt it ...  :(

Hi!

I hear ya!

Even though I bought stuff, it was no where near the quantities I want to get. By the time I was ready to do a truely massive order....

..they were gone.  :(
