Yep ! ?Mojarn is correct ... fire and maneuver ... It can be done successfully in Epic especially now with E:A "activation rules" ! We've been doing since '90. ?  Don't get caught up in running into the middle of the board and using you bolter as a club ! This ain't 40K !

Yes, it has gotten better, but it still is Herohammer, it still often comes down to who has the best Hand-to-hand "Cheesemaster" Leader. I sat and watched a couple of games just this Sunday. Bugs vs. Eldar and Marines vs. Guard.
Tactics did not win either game.

Experiance with Tactics or Min/Maxing? 
This newest re-hash of 40k does have a few bright spots, I admit it. However, based on the rules, it still is the same old story. Same stuff, new package.
That is why I will remain an Epic fan. I tired of 40k and the new edition did nothing to make me hope for better times.
