Quote (Justiniel @ 21 2004 Oct.,11:26) | Quote (Mojarn Piett @ 20 2004 Oct.,14:17) | I'll wait until I have some business in Helsinki and go to the local GW store. At least in there I can see what I am buying. |
Hopefully the Helsinki GW is better than the Belfast one, apart from the SM and orc infantry boxes and a couple of orc/SM blisters (read couple as 2) there is no Epic, nor is there any intention of ever stocking any (I asked). Have to go MO I was told. |
Dunno as I have never visited there. However, I recruited one of my friends to buy Fanatic#3 for me from there and he said it's quite well stocked. Didn't specifically mention epic, though, so I am not holding my breath or anything.

Hi!
Mojarn, how's the quantity of epic players where you live? Still a drought? Or getting better?

Getting slowly (VERY slowly) better but as no minis are locally available I don't think the amount will ever be that large. OTOH I have been brainwashing a couple of my friends for some time now. I started from scratch and now they play strategy games so all is not lost.

It is not easy to get people to play who are not even gamers.
I wish you all the luck!

Good Luck Mojarn. Speaking of which I was in our local GW store on Saturday and asked how Epic was selling, surprisingly well considering there is none on display it seems, also it turns out that 2 of the staff are getting into it and hope to introduce it at Thursdays veterans night, I guess I should try and support it by turning up, minis in hand

But the truth is, if you have a couple of regulars who get into a game and push it, that can force support. I have seen it happen.

That's certainly what I'm hoping, yes, it would be nice if GW pushed a little harder (ok, a lot harder) but if we can each get a couple of people interested, it makes chances of survival a whole heap better.
