The list is cool, but beware of the temptation to take an all Gargant force: You will lose. You will be out-activated, and outmaneuverd by just about everyone. Even with the massive firepower, remember that the game is about the objectives, and your gargants willl have a tough time getting all three. Having said all that, a mixed force with some gargants and some quick, cheaper troops will be nasty to oppose.

It was added specifically to help armies that are all or primarily Gargants to hold objectives. Or at least make some attempt to do so and also force your opponent to go an grab objectives as well.

The grots in this case aren't a unit but simply a marker to indicate the presence of a swarm of grots. They don't have a Slaver to keep them in line so as soon as any enemy appears they vanish. But you can make a marker with grots on it if you want... it isn't required though.

In response to Al posting his list over here, I thought I would share my tournament list.
Infantry Platoon #1 8 marines including Icon and Chaos Lord, 3 Defilers = 555pts
Infantry Platoon #2 8 marines including Icon and Chaos Lord, 6 Rhinos = 390 pts
Scout Formation 4 Scout Marines, 2 Rhinos = 170 pts
Bike Formation 8 Bikes with Chaos Lord, 1 Sacrifice = 325 pts
Armoured Formation 6 Predators = 300 pts
Super Heavy Formation 2 Deciamtors = 450 pts
Command Formation 5 Chosen Terminators with Chaos Warlord, 3 Obliterators = 550 pts
Air Support 2 Helltalons = 250 pts
== 2990 pts
Based on BL3.4 of course. I used a 2700 pt list very similar against marines to decent success, so I figured it deserved a chance to try it again. Most likely opponents are Orks and Imperial Guard on sunday, although marines and Eldar remain possibilities. Comments welcome.

Interesting list, particularly as Im developing my own Chaos force right now.
You dont seem to have many extra sacrifices in there - which would considerably bolster you CC ability once you get in.

I'm not a Daemon kind of guy. I view my marines as more of renegades than as deranged lunatics. Regardless, if I had something else to spend the 25pts on I'd get rid of the Sacrifice on the bikes.
Hmmm... with the 10 extra points and the points from the sacrifice I could add a marine stand to my Defiler unit I suppose. Meh, not a big deal.

The daemons will add a HUGE punch to your close assaults, but I understand your reasoning.
That extra marine stand can make all the differnce, as they dot have TSKNF...

Infantry Platoon #1 8 marines including Icon and Chaos Lord, 3 Defilers = 555pts Adding rhinos would keep your Defilers safe from AT shots for a while
Infantry Platoon #2 8 marines including Icon and Chaos Lord, 6 Rhinos = 390 pts does the Icon and the Lord get their own rhino?
