Quick rules question:
As the assault one is one move to get into 15cm an that you cannot embark, move, disembark from the units transport vehicle in one move does this mean that a unit with transport cannot get in, move and get out for the assault move?

It does. One move means the transport can move over a unit to embark it, or the transported unit disembarks and the transport can move no further.

Or to put it another way, you can't get into and out of a vehicle as part of an assault move. If an infantry stand starts inside a vehicle then the vehicle can move it's move and then disembark the infantry within 5cm for the assault.
It is risky to leave infantry in vehicles though as if the vehicle is destroyed the infantry inside have to take a save or die, but it can occasionally be worth the risk.
