Yes Squats are generally very well armed with lots of Heavy Weapons and Heavy AFVs. However, a bit slow because of it. That being said they have a fast and powerful Cavalry contingent with Bikers, Trikes and Gyrocopters. As Primarch said ... a unique and interesting army to play. I have had many successes with them and we still use the SM1 Flank Marcher Rules. An excellent "Flying Column" concept to make quick deep strikes into enemy flanks and rear. Classic "Hammer & Anvil" tactics ... and good fun !

Erm, has anybody......
Oh I can't bring myself to say it.....
Has anybody actually been daft enough to create , an actual SQUAT armylist for E:A yet? |
Yes: I have. ? ?To elaborate a little: I actually didn't design the armylist, I just ported the Net Epic armylist to E:A ?a while ago. The only thing I've done is the porting and some special rules. I just received some comments a few days ago and have updated the list. | Where might I look at the list?

Quote (Ork Dreadnought @ 21 2004 Feb.,12:21) | Erm, you and Mojarn Piett I think.
How do the short-ones play in epic BTW? |
Me? When? Have I been acting like I was offended? If so, please tell me where. I certainly don't remember being offended by you.
And Hergrmir & Primarch, I did port the Net Epic armylist to E:A a while ago (as I said in my previous post) and have actually received some good comments last week!! If somebody wants the E:A list for playtesting send me PM with your email address and I'll mail it to you, if you don't mind word format that is.

I'm shivering in anticipation. Getting a whole PILE of Epic Squats shipped to me. About 12 Gyros all told, enough for 3 small land trains, Praetorians, an Overlord... I'm going to stop now before I ruin my keyboard because of all this anticipatory drooling. Vengeance never dies!

Hi!
Kudos! It gets harder and harder to get a premium squat lot nowadays.
Enjoy!

Just ordered some SHT's from Forgeworld, would anyone have size comparison pics with those of SG? I have a couple (SG) already and was wondering if they would fit together. (if not there could be a couple on offer in the near future)

The FW models are somewhat larger than the SG ones. I tend to use them in seperate IG armies (Metal ones in my Desert IG and FW for my Cadians)
Uhm.. haven't got a proper comparison pic but I do have a recent overall shot of my Imperial army. There's some FW SHTs in the upper left corner. Pretty dark in the pic but I hope it gives at least some impression of the size difference.

Yup, I have them all, the F/W S/Heavies are bigger than G/W's and G/W's L/Russes are bigger than F/W's ... But in my opinion, it is not a problem. If you look at AFVs in the France '40 campaign, the German (and Czech 35t and 38t), French and U.K. tanks varied in sizes greatly. So if you need a real world precedent there it is. Otherwise, it is typical of G/W-S/G and F/W coordination, there is very little ! The F/W Valkyries vs S/G's ... we really don't need both ! But that has been the norm forever !

Ta very much all, that's what I thought, significantly larger, but also a couple of pounds cheaper (esp with free postage) now I'm not sure what to do, any offers for a shadowsword and a baneblade (SG)? or do I keep them in reserve?

The size differance is why I sold off the FW ones I bought and kept my originals. Too much of a size change for me to live with.
