Looks about right. It's probably better scale than the SG one anyway!
Cheers

Hi!
If you play epic, "scale" really should bother you that much. GW has scaled things everything from true 6mm to 10mm, so as long as it looks good I would think its okay.

Great pic, Jimbo! ?
I'll be ordering all the new F/W Epic very soon.
But I do have a question.
What do the E:A Rough Riders look like? ?
The old SM1&2 "Old Guard" or the E40K Attilans? ?
OR what?! ?
I can't see any pics on the UK G/W site! Just little grey boxes?!

Hi!
Aren't they just the same e40k ones?

I'm in a little confusion over the RR at the moment. I thought they were the E40K ones, but someone on the Fanatic Forums said they had gas masks (Krieg style I guess) ?!?!?

Quote (TuffSkull @ 02 2004 May,10:37) | I'm in a little confusion over the RR at the moment. I thought they were the E40K ones, but someone on the Fanatic Forums said they had gas masks (Krieg style I guess) ?!?!? | That was me. They are indeed the oldest Rough Rider, the one from the 1990 Guard sprue for the space marine game and *not* the e40k Attilans.
They are modified, in that they have gas mask, a new lance tip (has a power cell on on it), and the horses mane is a bit different.
In the pack you get 6 sprues of RR, with 3 RR's on each sprue, to make the 6 units.
They are kreig style, and I will do mine as Kreig Death Riders, though it says they are Steel Legion Rough Riders on the blister (which is slightly innacurate, as 40k fluff says the Steel Legion have no RR's).

Ah, so they are modified "Old Guard" from the SM1&2 days ... I'll have to buy some then. Thanks Robilus ! From time to time, you "agents" of the Imperium, let us "rustics" in the Colonies, know what E:A is E40K/SM1, etc. or what is new ... G/W US is doing a good job of keeping us in the shadows ...

Hi!
The old rough riders were good. Generic enough for anyone to convert them into whatever fancied them.

Yep. The only problem was to get the 30 stands required to make a company. I got just enough for one.

I have 2 Cav Squadrons of 4 stands each of the "Old Guard" and 4 stands of Attilans. ?We still use the SM1 rules that states you can dismount your troopers, for the Old Guard. ?Which really makes them more like "Light Horse" or mounted Infantry, like Cossacks, than Traditional Cav.

Hi!
I love that old rule! You could do that too with bike detachments!
