At the risk of sounding lazy: ;D

I have armies in all sorts of unfinished states, and I thought a good way to get organised would be to start working off a bunch of lists, and crossing things off as I get them painted. That way, I might actually see a fully painted army by the end of this coming winter, as opposed to all the jumping in between projects and not finishing anything. I have a new table made, I have tons of scenery in various conditions, I also have a live in player that is willing to learn/play epic. I just need to get some armies 'complete' and we have everything. But being the only painter out of the two of us, it falls to me to paint everything.

Is there already a thread that contains lots of minigeddon lists? I've seen some on the battle of the Thames results, but I was after more fluffy lists/lists that match my collection.

I absolutely suck at making lists, I really don't know enough about playing to make sensible lists, I've collected epic for many years, but only ever played a couple of intro games back in the late 90s (Epic 40k version)

If there is not all ready a thread, if people drop their lists here, I will collate them in one mega thread at a later date, and we can all have it as a resource for quick lists, or for pointing to newbies later on.

If people have recommended lists for these armies (these are the ones that I have tons of to paint in my collection) I'd be most grateful, but all good lists will be added to the mega thread! :)

Feral Orks, Thousand sons, Nurgle marines, Nurgle cult (LotD?), Space Puppies, Mek based Orks (guns/stompas/kans) Dark Eldar (witch based lists and homunculus/flesh based list)

Nice fluffy lists that match the above will also win you ten internet points! ;D
one hundred fake internet points to someone that can match up my space vermin/skaven/rat minis with a an all ready available epic list. :D

I have Dark Eldar myself, and have most of the infantry, LV , AV and War Engines I made up quite a lot of lists for both 3000 points and for minigeddon as well. The main thing you need to remember for Dark eldar is that they need to rely on 2 things, speed, and heavy hitting in close combat/fire fight. The you need to get out of there quick, or reinforce them in a big way.

I tend to use Ravagers particularly Kabal Flotillas as the base for my lists. For minigeddon, I go with a basic 4 ravager formation. Add in either a sybarite or a Dracon (rather than an Archon).

Next I add in a bike formation of 6 reaver jetbikes with a sybarite. This give me the speed to take unprotected objectives, rush a formation in to add support for an assault using the Dark Eldar special ability, and these bikes can triple move 120cms.

Next I add in the meat and bones to the list. The formations, or formations I want to base the lists tactics on. Just lately I was mostly tabled by a Iyaden Eldar army which had lots of Ghost warrior (wraith guard) and Wraith Lord units. in a 3000 point tournament. These fearless formations were hard to get rid of, especially with their macro weapons. From this I examined my own options for Dark Eldar. I worked out that there were 2 main formations and 4 units I should be using to get maximum effect of fearless units with close combat macro weapons, and even indirect distort artillery.

The units are the Talos, the Perditor, the Haemonculi and the Grotesque. I do not know about the EpicUK list as I do not use that here in Australia, but you can get a decent l3rd or even 4th formation that will put the enemy on the back foot, and react to your tactics and actions rather force you to react to theirs.

Try a Haemonculi Coven with transports to help speed the basic troops up further to absorb fire meant to come at the Perditors. Add in one or two Perditors (I scratch built mine), the then add in two Talos. You might drop the Perditors, or the Talos The Coven cost 250 points and the Haemonculi get the leader skill in addition to being fearless. The Talso get a 4+ reinforced armour save, are walker AV and have MW in close combat and 2 as an upgrade cost 100 points. The Perditors are 150 points each, have 2 DC, are war engines, fearless, get 4+ reinforced armour, also have macro weapons, and can shoot indirectly (2BP each) with 30cm (z2 for indirect) that have the Disrupt rule. In large games the formation costs 650 points. however you can reduce the model count for minigeddons.

Here is an example list:

350 points - Kabal Flotilla, 4 Ravagers, Dracon
225 Points - Reaver Gang - 6 Reaver Jetbikes, Sybarite
425 Points - Haemonculi Coven - 2 Haemonculi (leaders), 4 Grotesques, 1 Perditor with Sybarite upgrade (another Leader).

You could put the extra Sybarite with the Flotilla.

With this list I would rush the Haemonculi coven up to the middle of the table and place them in area terrain to get the cover bonus. The ravagers and bikes would roam around picking off lone enemy formations, if needed they can rush up to support the Coven. The bikes are useful if the enemy decide to abandon their blitz or another objective to remove the Coven.

Also remember, that if the Coven is placed given sustained fire, the Perditors has +1 to hit for its indirect distort artillery. I have found it is really good busting up those hard to remove infantry formations sitting in cover on the blitz. Squat warriors, massed Guard Tactical Platoon, Eldar Dark Reapers and Fire Dragons, Space Marine Tactical squad, etc. The distort works better than regular artillery because you hit more than you kill off, but each hit is another blast marker.

Below are other lists I have built for my Dark Eldar force for minigeddon.

1000 Point Epic Dark Eladar Kalabite force for Minigeddon
List 1
250 Points – 1 x Kabal Koterie – 4 x Incubi incl Dracaon, 2 x Raider transports
350 Points – Kabal Flotilla – 6 x Ravager Hover Tanks (BTM Objective)
200 Points – Kalabite Syndicate – 6 x Kalabite Warrior, 3 x Raider transports
200 Points – Reaver Gang – 6 Reaver Jetbikes

List 2
400 Points – Kabal Flotilla – 6 x Ravagers, Dracon
200 Points – Kabal Syndicate – 6 x Kalabite Warriors, 3 x Raiders
200 Points – Reaver Gang – 6 x Reaver Jetbikes
200 Points – Reaver Gang – 6 x Reaver Jetbikes

List 3 (only 950 points)
650 Points – Kabal Flotilla – 6 Ravagers, Vessel of Pain, Dracon
325 Points – Reaver Gang – 8 Reaver Jet Bikes, Sybarite

List 4
300 Points – Kabal Flotilla – 4 Ravagers, Dracon
200 Points – Reaver Gang – 6 Reaver Jetbikes
500 Points – Heavy Barges – 2 Vessels of Pain

List 5
300 Points – Kabal Flotilla – 4 Ravagers, Dracon
200 Points – Reaver Gang – 6 Reaver Jetbikes
250 Points – Heavy Barges – 1 Vessel of Pain
250 Points – Heavy Barges – 1 Vessel of Pain

List 6
300 Points – Kabal Flotilla 4 Ravagers, Dracon
225 Points – Reaver Gang – 6 Reaver Jetbikes, Sybarite
250 Points – Haemonculi Coven – 2 Haemonculi, 4 Grotesques, 3 Raiders
225 Points – Mandrake Throng – 6 Mandrakes

List 7
300 Points – Kabal Flotilla 4 Ravagers, Dracon
225 Points – Reaver Gang – 6 Reaver Jetbikes, Sybarite
250 Points – Heavy Barge – 1 Vessel of Pain
225 Points – Mandrake Throng – 6 Mandrakes

List 8
300 Points – Kabal Flotilla 4 Ravagers, Dracon
200 Points – Reaver Gang – 6 Reaver Jetbikes
250 Points – Haemonculi Coven – 2 Haemonculi, 4 Grotesques, 3 Raiders
250 Points – Heavy Barge – 1 Vessel of Pain

I tend to not use Wyches as much as they do not get a save, and are not fearless. They are only really good in close combat, and enemy can force them to use their FF value as well. I do have a formation of 6 units of them, and 2 Warp Beasts, but I rarely use them unless it is a larger game.

I hope this has helped with the Dark Eldar army.

This sounds fun!
Here are two orks lists, that are quite flavourful. Maybe they don't have quite enough activations for highly competitive minigeddon, but I think they will lead to some fun games:

Feral Orks:
BOARBOYZ HORDE [100]
5 Boarboyz

BOARBOYZ HORDE [100]
5 Boarboyz

STEAM GARGANT [200]
Steam Gargant

WILDBOYZ [300]
2 Nobz, 3 Two Wildboyz Units, Orkeosaurus

WILDBOYZ [300]
2 Nobz, 3 Two Wildboyz Units, Orkeosaurus

And Mek orks:

MEKBOY GUNZMOB [175]
5 Big Gunz, Oddboy

MEKBOY GUNZMOB [175]
5 Big Gunz, Oddboy

MEKBOY STOMPAMOB (BIG) [400]
6 Stompa

WARBAND [250]
2 Nobz, 6 Boyz, 2 Grotz, 2 Killa Kan

I really want to try these out.

I'm running Minigeddon at local game-a-thons[1] and at the local gaming convention in September[2] and here's the two Ork armies I've designed for newbies to use. They're not meant to be *really* competative; they're meant to (a) be easy for newbies to play with and against and (b) use models that I've already got painted. I've also got armies drawn up for Tyranids, Eldar, two different IGs, and two different SMs. Do you want those as well, even knowing that they're not really balanced?

Ghazgkhull Thraka's War Horde (NetEA Tournament Pack 2013)

BOARBOYZ HORDE ('UGE) [250]

My Minigeddon list of two warbands with Orkeosauri and as many boarboyz units as I could fit was lethal. (Only weakness that Boarboyz can't enter buildings). It's on the London site above.

They are running a Minigeddon tournament in September at my local store, and I will be running a 1 day Minigeddon at MOAB in Sydney in October.

I have worked out a nice Emperor's Children list for the September event.

Retinue 355 Points
Daemon Prince, 4 Noise Marines, 2 Chaos Marine Units, 3 Rhinos

Emperor’s Children Noise Marines – 395 Points
6 Noise Marine Units, 2 Rhinos, 1 Emperor’s Children Landraider

Subjugator – 250 Points
1 Subjugator Scout Titan

These 3 formations give me a decent shock force for such a small table game.

I have a Daemon Prince flying around next to my 3 Rhino Transports in the Retinue. I will endevour to unload their troops into cover near objectives, or shoot up enemy sitting on them. The DP and the 4 Noise Marines are fearless which is a good thing. The DP has MW for FF and BC, while the NM have Disrupt weapons.

The elite Noise Marine formations has a Landraider to give longer range fire power, and it also has Disrupt AP/AT weapons. The Rhinos are just for transport, however there are 6 Fearless units with Disrupt AP/AT weapons, a good CC and better FF.

The Subjugator is fast, really fast - 35cm. It has very similar stats to a Warhound Titan 5+ Reinforced armour save, 2 Void Shields, 3DC, TK (D3) MW assault weapons, and 2 Battlew Cannon AP4+/AT4+ with range 75cm. This means I will have a unit that can trade shots with a lot of other formations that my Dark Eldar can not do, and cheaper than the Dark Eldar Titan.

Against armies I expecting to face the force should do well.

I know there will be Imperial Guard Catachan, Adeptus Sororitus, and perhaps Tyranids. I even think Tau might make it to the tournament.
