This is a great idea, but at present looks pretty confusing: flashy at the expense of use.

arrows all over the place. but you can't just get rid of the arrows as otherwise the order and box groupings make no sense.

it needs a clear hierarchy of information and flow of reading. Arrows might be useful, but only as an extra aide at the end, not at the expense of structure.

for a good text on designing/tidying up of layout of natural language algorithms and rules flows etc see: 'Flow charts, logical trees and algorithms for rules and regulations ' 1967, Lewis, N. only 28p long and very clear

where small capitals are used they sometimes have a full cap initial letter, sometimes not, even for the same type of wording.

why are the victory conditions on p2 but the objective and tiebreak conditions on p4?

'Can only retain initiative, max twice in a row then pass over turn'
you can only retain once, unless you're eldar

hi, all feedback appreciated,

what changes would you make to it to adjust the structure?

have this point, why are the victory conditions on p2 but the objective and tiebreak conditions on p4?

but what else would you change to improve the flow?. I have spent a while on this as have others so at this stage if people want to make suggestions to improve it, i am all for supporting the ideas they have.

Rastamann was kind enough to reformat for us, if you can make further suggestions on the structure he may be able update + formatting/rule changes below when he has a chance?

I can give detailed suggestions but will need to do annotated sketches for them, will try to find a suitable way to do that at the weekend. and/or can you save the InDD files back to CS 5.5 compatibility?



the 1967 handbook on rules/regulations suggestion is perfect for this btw: it is written pre DTP for civil service for tasks like drawing a diagram for how tax return forms should work … which sounds terrible dull but is actually ideal for epic rules :D

Thats a bit too techie for me, Rastamann has the master file, will pm and ask him to share with you.

will check out the doc though sounds useful ;)

this is the old text doc but its been superceeded, i would wait for Rastamann to come back to us,
