Metal fire dragons are a new sculpt, dire avengers are almost certainly casts of the plastic models, I have both in my collection

The wraithgate was definitely in E40k according to this:

On the war walkers, I assume they were one of the e40k variants without wings, that seemed to be the purview of EA, re-release a single variant of the e40k model

Ah there you go then, a wraithgate. You can also see the warp spiders in the pic.

The war walkers: hmm. I think I only had one pack of them in E40k, but all mine have wings :/ (except some EA ones I bought recently but haven't looked at). I assumed they just missed them off in EA, but it could just be that all my variants were of the winged type by chance.

yeah the guardians and warp spiders were E40k, thinking about it, the cost of making a single injection mould is probably far in excess of the entire budget for EA....

I thought they recut the sprue for all the EA releases? (Using the same figs from epic40k?) I could never understand why as it left things like terminators and firedragons/dire avengers having to be cast (badly) metal. I assume it had to do with wanting to redo many of the marine vehicles to match the current 40k but never understood the other races for which they just seemed to take one metal variant from the range and cast it for whole formations for EA, often in less pieces but poorer castings.

But I might be wrong about this, I only have a limited amount of stuff and a hazy memory from the 90s!

They did recut sprues. They did with marines anyway, probably because the lists didn't fit the box contents any more (i.e. you needed 20 terminators to be able to use them). Not so sure about eldar, the fire dragons and dire avengers were never on the E40k sprue.

Surely GW never factored in how many you need for a formation when making boxes? or if they do, its usually to make you buy 2.23boxes per formation! :-D

Did they miss out the dragons and avengers completely from E40k then (cos I don't remember any metal infantry?) ? 6 (approx) variations of the vyper but not two of the most iconic aspect warriors! That was a strange range of models. :-)

Definitely metal Firedragons. Couldn't comment on the avengers though, I've mostly seen blue painted guardians...

Pretty sure they missed out dire avengers and fire dragons entirely from Epic 40,000, and that metal fire dragons were made for EA.
