Had a fight against Mordoten a couple of days ago.
Tried to beat him with his “own” Gargants this time. He took his Skitarii as usual

The plan was to move in to the mibble of the field and dominate all four objectives there, leaving my Deth Shooting Gargant a little bit behind so it could guard my own blitz.
Didn’t quite go as planned but anyway…

I might have mixed up the Skitarii and the Sagitarii (sorry they all look the same to me )
The game started with a lot of airstrikes that led to nothing (9 fightabombas aganst tried to take away a hydra but failed)

The Gargants moved forward and tries to break the middlemost enemy. The Skitarii focus on the Gargant to the left and the Supastompa.

Almost all formations is ready to engage, this turn will show how effective the Gargants really are.
A whole Skitarii formation engages the Lootas but a really good resolution roll makes the Lootas win. Fair, no but fun! Supastompa and a Gargant takes on the nearby Sagitarii but doesn’t manage to kill them. Supastompa is broken and rushes towards the enemy blitz hoping to roll a 6’ in the rally phase Ordinatus (with air support) moves up and takes away all shields and does a DC on the Gatlin Gargant.
CC Gargant engages and kills all Sentries that hides behind the factory. Other Sentries moves away from charging distance.
Middle Lootas is almost killed but manages to flee toward own blitz.

Turn 3 is a lot of grinding. On the left flank the Gargants tries to whipe out the broken formation. The Gatlin Gargant is almost destroyed but only breaks and surround the remaining Skitarii. The CC Gargant moves in closer for the next turn.
End of turn 3 and no winner.
Turn 4, the Gatlin Gargant doubles toward the enemy Blitz. Lots of planes and stuff tries to stop him but fails. The rest of the team clean up in the middle

Victory to the Gargants! 2-0
Conclusions:
It was a bad matchup for the Skitarii and a fun game.
The Gatlin Gargant was really good.
The CC orientated Gargant was lucky to get some opponents, but really controlled his part of the battlefield, it feels like ha can be outactivated against a faster army but still.
Next time I will probably try almost the same army, perhaps a deth cannon less and another Wyrdboy tower. And perhaps change the Supastompa to something else, it was a little bit to hard to rally
