Thanks for the kind comments everyone. They are appreciated

@ Legion, he is a bit brighter than I would normally paint too. I was taken out of my comfort zone by the fact that I needed it to be legio ignatum colours, to suit the background I was going for. I wasn't sure about my ability to paint it, but in hindsight I'm happy I did, as I really enjoyed the challenge.

Speaking of a challenge, I'll show you what I've been up to. In an old white dwarf Rick Priestly made a grav attack vehicle ( a bigger precursor to the land speeder I suppose) out of a deodorant bottle.
I suspect it was his way of telling table top wargamers that they should buy more deodorant

.
Anyway, back in nineteen eighty something I made one to go with my imperial guard army.
I found it a while ago.

It used to have a gun on it, but it is pretty much intact.
Fast forward a couple of decades, and I am making some epic ones to go with my guard army.

In the spirit of Rick's conversion I have stuck to materials that we're lying around.
However I will put some reasonable looking guns on them to help them look at least a little detailed.
I'm not 100% sure I like them yet. I'm hoping the finished product will look ok.
In games they can count as Valkyries (along with my assault guardsmen who count as storm troopers), or as vultures. I will add a decent cannon on top, and convert the plastic tube bits to missile pods. Should do the job
