Thanks for the read. You finally managed to get some tripple retains in there!
So, now on to stage 2... ry this:
move into supporting range with something and place blast markers. Retain. Engege with another unit, and use their full movement when consolodating to get into supporting range of something else. Tripple retain and engage the "second" unit. Not every game you can get this to work but against DKoK it should be possible as they will have lots of units and probobly cover a lot of ground

A little risky to tripple retain with the fighters just to put them on CAP against thunderbolts, but hey, no guts no glory

Small questions just to confirm that I read the report...
Why didn't you use your CAP nightwings when the Thunderbolt did a graound attack? Do you play with "CAP a CAP" and you thought it to risky?
When you did the engagement with the Avatar you should have used him as a commander instead. He has 1+ initiative

(Also it is kind of risky to have him standing around but I guess you had the SC reroll left or why didn't you make the "safe" moves first?)
Do you play with free measurement? (that everyone can measure stuff all the time?) Becouse if my oponent placed his warhounds in front of an unhurt group of falcons so they can sustain they are asking for destruction...
Also I think the Phantom - Nightwing "issue" will be hard to test. It's more of a limitation thing then something that will break the game. The Eldar already have lots of toys, do they need to be able to take all of them at the same time?
Also do you intend to use these reports as a way of "approving" the recent changes it might be good to give some indication on how experienced the opponent is vs yourself (and to use legal lists

)
I do not think that every one need to use tournament style lists but it wouldn't hurt. The whole approved, development thing is for balance at tournaments... when playing friends you do not need to follow rules or points restrictions anyhow... Perhaps try to tell your opponent beforehand that you will make a report and that he/she should try and make a "competetive" list with an army he can play... (whatever that means

)
Until next time
