On my way home for the Holidays I met up with the Coach to take on his Black Legion again. This was one long and bloody game, mostly due to his Daemon Prince who would just not die.

Start of Game

The cruiser comes in and hits both the Castellans and Errants, crit'ing a Castellan.

A retinue summons and decides to take the Errants by the horns.

It was immensely bloody with both sides hitting a whole lot. Knights were up 8-4 in kills.

A crap roll on the Black Legion's result sent them running.

Being just one BM from breaking, the Errants crash into the other retinue.

5-1, Knights.

The Castellans retain and marshal to lay a BM before they are broken.

The Forlorn Hope double up.

TBolts strafe the bikes, laying a BM.

Raptors march into an assault position.

Tbolts take out a Predator.

The Bikes march.

Tbolts hit them again for another BM.

Raptors march.

Crusaders double and lay BMs on the Bikes.

The Land Raiders play it safe and marshal.

The Paladins double to screen the front, and take a Raptor out.

The SC goes on overwatch.

Lancers double and lay a BM on the Bikes.

The other Paladins screen the rear from the Terminators.

In come the Terminators.

Turn 2

The Terminators summon a Blood Thirst and take on the Paladins unsupported and unprep'ed.

They are up 4-3 in kills.

They loose however and only the Fearless units remain.

Raptors try a clipping assault on the rearguard.

3-2, Knights.

It goes for another bloody round, with the Knights winning but breaking.

Castellans come out of the both and break the bikes who failed to rally.

Raptors assault the Paladins to the front.

3-2, Knights.

The Knights win but break again.

Tbolts hit the Forlorn Hope and take out a Rhino.

The Land Raiders come out and damage a Paladin, the two hack downs see it destroyed and the other damaged.

The Crusaders double on the Terminators but can't do much.

Tbolts break the Forlorn Hope.

The SC marches.

The Errants double on the Terminators, to no result.

Lancers engage them.

To no result...

The Last Tbolts hack down a Marine.

Turn 3

The SC sustains and lay a BM on the Crusaders.

Land Raiders double and break the Errants, taking one out.

The Castellans advance and break the Terminators.

The Forlorn Hope summon and try to get in the way, laying a BM on the Lancers.

TBolts break the Raptors in the back field.

A Raptor goes on Overwatch.

TBolts lay a BM on the Forlorn Hope.

The lone Paladin manages to draw a line of fire to the Raptor on the Blitz, and takes him out.

Paladins engage the Land Raiders.

1-0, Knights.

The Land Raiders are wiped out.

Crusaders advance and break the Forlorn Hope.

The Lancers engage the Terminators... again...

Still nothing!

Turn 4 (1-0 Black Legion with TSNP)

Turn 4

The SC lays a BM on the Paladins.

Crusaders sustain and manage to take out an Obliterator, but not the wily Deamon prince.

A Land Raider lays a BM on the Paladins.

The Errant breaks himself.

Raptors double to contest.

TBolts try to blow a whole in the middle of the SC for the Paladins to march.

Bikes double to further impede them.

The Lancers try once more to get BTS, but the Daemon Prince will not die (he's made like 12 saves at this point).

TBolts try to break the Bikes, but are one shy.

The Lone Paladin doubles to grab a T&H and break the Land Raider.

TBolts strafe the SC for a BM.

The Paladins break themselves.

End of Game

In the end, it went to points with the Knights winning "a whole bunch" to 830.
