Hey guys, this is my first battle report but want to help the development of the Knight List. So please excuse the rambling , I'll try and make sense.

So my camera on my phone didn't really get any good pics, so sorry about that, I'll do better next time
Also I'm still painting and building my army, so Knights where played by RBT01 Rogue Trader Marines this week

Turn 1 Set up

Turn 1:
Marines: Activate Thunderbolts on CAP
Knights: Lancers move up left flank into cover behind statue
Marines: Bikes double up the opposite flank heading for Knights BTS
Knights: Rough Riders double up flank to prepare for an assault on Bikes next turn
Marines: Thunderhawk activates and runs a ground attack on Rough Riders, 1 hit and 1 Rough Rider killed
Knights: Knight BTS moves up in support of Lancers into cover
Marines: Speeders move up into cover
Knights: Custodians advance up the middle
Marines: Whirlwinds activate and sustain fire on Custodians - 2 hits, all saved
Knights: Paladins activate, double up mid field in front of Custodians, fire at Whirlwinds, 1 casualty
Marines: Predators advance and fire upon the paladins, 4 hits and one wound gets through
Knights: Wardens activate and move up attacking the Whirlwinds, killing another
Marines: Warhound activates, advances up through the ruins and fires upon the paladins. 2 Macro and 2 normal hits, 1 fail save means the first Knight goes down.
Knights: Errants advance and attack the whirlwinds, 2 macro hits and another 2 dead whirlwinds breaking them
Marines: Tactical detachment moves up flank towards objective.
Knights: Rough Riders triple move and place themselves around the knights to create a screen from teleporters
Marines: Land Raiders advance, firing upon the Errants, 2 hits, all saved
Knights: Thunderbolts shot down by CAP while trying to attack the space Marine bikes

Rally Phase

Rough Riders fail, keep Blast Markers
Custodians fail, keep blast markers
Errants Fail, keep blast markers
Whirlwinds Rally


Turn 2

Terminators teleport behind Rough Riders on flank

Marines: Terminators engage Rough Riders, wiping out unit
Knights: Custodians sustain into Land Raiders with blast markers overlapping Predator Unit, 1 LR and 1 Predator removed
Knights: Retain with Wardens, advance and attack the Predator detachment, anoth Predator dies and breaks the unit.
Marines: LR back up out of FireFight range (I played my opponent last fortnight with a similar list and instilled in him a great fear of firefight Knights) Fire at the Wardens but to no avail
Knights: Paladins advance, Fire at the Land Raiders but no wounds
Marines: Whirlwinds sustain fire at the Paladins, but no wounds again.
Knights: Errants fail activation and choose to remove blast markers instead
Marines: Bikes activate and move into range of Paladins
Marines: Retain with LandSpeeders and move into Firefight with Paladins with Bike support. End result after 2 rounds of combat is a destroyed unit of Paladins.
Knights: Baron BTS fail activation, single move up field
Marines: Warhound backs away out of engagement range, shoots at wardens to no avail
Knights: Triple move to spread out and grab objectives
Marines: Tactical advances firing at Rough Riders all missing
Knights: Lancers advance firing upon Tactical
Marines: Thunderbolt activates atcking Rough Riders, killing 1 and breaking the unit
Marines: Thunderhawk Lands and fires on Errants, all saved. Picks up Terminators at turn end taking AA fire on the way out

Failing units were: LandRaiders and Wardens


Turn 3

Marines: Preds activate, move and attack Lancers, 1 hit but save
Marines: Retain with Tactical and assault Lancers, Lancers back out ( we stuffed this up a bit and Lancers lost in the end and had to back out, 1 Lancer lost.
Knights: Custodians sustain fire on Land Speeders, BP damage also covering Bikes, 3 speeders dead (Broken), 1 bike dead
Marines: Warhound fires at Wardens, kills 1 and breaks unit
Knights: Baron BTS moves and Firefights Marine Tactical unit, A whole lot of casulties for Marines and The Knights utterly destroy the unit
Marines: Tunderbolt fails activation
Knights: Errants advance upon LandRaiders, killing 1
Marines: LandRaiders sustain fire back at Errants to no avail
Marines: Whirlwinds fire at Errants, miss
Marines: Terminators air assault Errants, Errants take 1 wound, all Terminators and Thunderhawk dead

Failed Rallies
Errants, Wardens, Bikes.

Turn 4

Marines: Land Raider Sustain causing 1 wound to Errants
Knights: Rough Riders assault into Bikes, 2 dead RR, all bikes destroyed
Marines: Tunderbolt activates kill 1 errant and breaks the unit
Knights: Lancers acyivate advance and kill 1 predator, breaking the unit
Marines: Land Speeders move and cap Knights Blits
Knights: Sustain fire on Land speeders, LS make all saves
Marines: Whilrwind advances to cap 2 points in there table half
Knights: Baron BTS advance, killing whilwind and cap the two points
Marines: Warhound Advances, contests 2 points and kills the Rough Riders

Raklly Phase: Errants remain Broken, Wardnes remain Broken
Game ends at Turn 4

Knights: 1 point for BTS
Marines: 1 point for Blitz

Game comes down to points

Marines score: 1762
Knights score: 1950

Knights barely win!

Was a really fun game, i believe i made a mistake with place my Blitz where it was and i had horrible rolls with my rallying. My opponent played a great game and we both had a lot of fun. He has played my Knights before and understands while They are great on the charge, If you are engaging them you definitely have the upper hand.

I plan to get another game in soon and will try and do another report then, but more in depth and with better pics.
