For AMTL side, 1 thunderbolt failed to activate (in fact failed to do so turns 2 and 3 as well), and the decimator was lucky to be left with 1DC and rally. That warhound facing the wrong way is a rallied Feral.

The plasma warhound got wiped out in close assault dealing no damage in return (chaos saves were on fire for most of the game).

Critically (as the BTS formation managed to fail I think 2 2+ init rolls subsequently) when the warlord moved up all he could see was the stand in the middle of the chaos formation. That stand was the demon prince... 4 MW2+ shots got three hits and one past the armour, consigning it to the hell that spawned him.

Chaos did not teleport turn 2, that is them there for start of turn 3.

Preds fail to rally, chosen who back off rally.

Terminators and friends put the warlord onto 3dc remaining, but he rallies.

Thanks for the game TRC!
Very interesting to fight EUK titans with activation parity.

Forgetting my terminators for turn 2 and then messing up the assault with the chosen same turn (didn't fully take on board that the reaver had a CCW until i'd prepped it, not the warlord, for assault) were poor mistakes on my part. Difficult to know what to do when faced with so many titan activations, as the last shot shows I was pretty much completely taken to pieces by the end.

I was also surprised at how effective the barrage blitz guard reaver as under EUK. Something I sort of considered as only effective under NetEA, but it was very effective here too.

:sos (how not to roll assault rolls! … but then a had quite a few places where formations avoided being annilated by fire and got lucky saves, so it evens out :D )

Will put some more detail in if I get the chance, have added an unfortuenate episode for the demon prince on turn 2...

Or Apocolocyntosis could add some more...

The idea of the list is to be able to stall for 3 activations turn 1 if nessecery. Reaver sustains, thunderbolts cap/attack, thunderbolts cap/attack.

The Warlord is the centre piece and dangerously gets to go forward, but uses his hydra batteries to shield the thunderbolts from return cap if nessecery (range 45 defeating aircraft 30cm engage ranges). I think on reflection rather than have the hell fighters be on cap waiting to jump the thunderbolts (that only exposed themselves turn 3 onwards) should maybe have bitten the bullet and braved the Hydra fire to knock out a formation.

Regardless, turn one went very much the titans way as they were able to move up formations suffering very little return fire.

The plasma warhound was a gamble that didn't pay off, it failed to slag the decimator and got easily killed by the chaotic ones in return. Not sure what i could have used it for in retrospect.

The TLD/PB combo was a good one for anti warhound work - stripping the shields before laying the plasma and having a turn 2 role.

As expected the Warlord didn't get to fire everything turn 1 and didn't do much rather than absorb attacks - but I guess surviving till the end and slagging the enemy SC was something.
