...as well as fixing the typos I would like to have seen more picture of models and games and less "artwork".
A good example of what I mean is the picture on IIRC p49 is sooo small, why isn't at least half a page.

Hi!
I understand your point Gandalf, but it still mean "I" pay more for less....
..oh well such is the way of economics...
Jimbo, I'll keep your critique in mind when net epic gold gets done. I gather that actual mini pictures are favored more than art.

I kind of liked the art, all told. But what I really like are mini pics next to their entries in the army lists.

Pics is what I'm looking for ... if I wanted pretty artwork I'd go to a museum ...

I actually like the artwork. IMO it is the best rulebook yet from GW; the guys at Sabretooth really show promise.

...don't get me wrong I do like artwork, the grot bike on page 104 is a prime example (I want that model), it's just that the balance is wrong.
In Section 6, which is called Epic Gaming, there are 25 pictures of which only 3 are pictures of epic gaming...

I'll be buying the Rules and most of the new E:A once it arrives in the US in May-June ... then I'll know what you are talking about ...

Quote (primarch @ 04 2004 Mar.,21:43) | A lot of the "art" in the new book is just re-hash from versions long ago, so I agree miniature pictures give any work a fresh look.

Er, I only spotted four pictures which have been in the previous editions of Epic. On page 8 (E40k box cover), page 13 (E40k Player's Edition cover), page 72 (1st edition Space Marine box cover) and page 165 (Titan Legions box cover). There are 16 other pics I've seen elsewhere. This leaves 48 pics I've not seen before.
Have I missed something?

Have I missed something? ? | I thought the same thing. I really liked the artwork in the book. I like pics of the models too, but I didn't think there was a shortage of them, they have individual pics of every model for Orks\IG\SM which is way more photos than previous Epic books. I liked how they put the pics of the models next to their stat-line entries too.

Most of the art is from the 40K CCG. The credits are at the beginning of the appendices, iirc.
