From a fluff point of view they should definitely have MW. Balance is more important though of course so other alternatives could be explored. I prefer MW though. 2BP per plane has been put forth in the necron sub forum.

In this battle they constituted 1125 or 28% of your points. The amount of damaged they did seems quite fair with that in mind. It also seems like the Iron Warriors list was very light on AA. The only AA I can see are the three hell blades. I'd expect at least 2 or 3 land based AA units in a 4000 points army. That probably contributed to the success of the bombers.

How many land AA do you want me to field for next Tuesday nights game Greg?
IMHO very powerful aircraft units give their list a pretty big edge since if you buy lots of AA to defeat them, and he doesn't field any, you've wasted a lot of points, yet you can't afford to take the chance. This would be difficult to fix by mearly increasing their point values. With the ability to come on anywhere on the board, living metal, etc., do the Necrons really need another "edge"?

No they don't, but I want them to have more available tactics in sautekh, than in raiders. Adding the new 40k airplanes is a means to this end.
