Yes Horus Heresy would be a great choice for a boxed game. Space Marine again.

I'd buy a 10mm game. It might be heresy around here, but it's probably my favorite scale to paint. I like painting infantry and 10mm gives a good balance between infantry details (not to much or to little), but at the same time still getting that army feel that 28mm can't produce.

I don't believe GW is in a position to take on big risks. A switch to 10mm would be too cost-intensive for them to gamble on. What's more, with Apocalypse and Escalation WH40k has been creeping into Epic territory to the point where Epic might be seen to compete directly with GW's own more successful line of 28mm epic battles, rather than supplement it in a meaningful way.

There are rumours that GW have offloaded at least some of their specialist games to FFG so its more likely to be re-released by them if it comes back at all..... I say it's no bad thing if that's the case.... I'm sure some of the experts on this forum will disagree though....

From a personal point of view I could care less if GW relaunch it. I have just about finished all of the armies I have, and those armies I don't have I'm going to buy from other suppliers (well-known to us all here).

That said, I would welcome GW relaunching Epic as it would make it much easier to introduce a new generation of players to the game.

That's basically my take on it ... And if for some reason[ I can't think of one], they went to 10mm ... well I don't see it, but if so, I'm good with all the 6mm I have or will have ... 8)

You keep on waiting buddy. They are at my house and not leaving anytime soon!

There's a guy in Chicago who got arrested for that same sort of thing.

10 mm scale epic would suck. The big machines would be too big to actually use in a game (warlords the size of 40k superheavies). It would be just as bad as a game of apocalypse. But the again, I think tanks in 40k are too big for the tabletop.

Now 2mm, that would be interesting. Infantry would look horrible, but multiple titans and maybe even full scale space ships could be represented (as static terrain).

It's just another rumour, like the previous one, without any substance. If anything, it could just be a one off boxed set, but I'm sceptical about even that. A relaunch of the entire game seems extremely unlikely to me.

But you really don't know the truth and can't state that it's a rumour as a fact. I thought every person on this forum would be wishing it to be true. Not to turn backs and wave their arms " naah, can't happen".

If it does, COOL

If it doesn't it does not affect my life in any way

Hi!

If I understand the nature of the relationship, GW's agreement with FFG when they produce their games is to do games without miniatures or miniatures in a way that does not compete with GW.

So I doubt they would ever get to do epic, although I would love FFG to do it.
