Hi,
yesterday we had a game with 10k points on 3 tables. 6k points were reserve formation entering at the short sides of the 2 outer tables. 4k points were split between a central force at the central table and a rearguard force. The rearguard forces were at the outer tables between the central force and the entering reserve formations.
Both rearguard forces were able to slow the reserves down.. Marines air assaulting forces were a hard hitting force, so most of the Chaos reserve formations did not arrive at the central table. Marines ground reserve formation advanced to slow, because they wanted to kill most of the Black Legion rearguards. The few formations entering the city were repelled by World Eater counter attacks.
At the end of Turn 3 Marines could have won but Chaos CAP shot down the landing Thunderhawk with a tactical formation that should take 2 Chaos Objectives.
After the 4th turn Chaos hold the Marines Blitz so the game ended with 1-0 and a tiebreak. 6300 points of Marines and 4000 points of Chaos forces were lost. So Chaos won the game.
