Thanks for the report. Two great armies, but I think the Tau will have to change a bit to cope with the bio-WE.

As a heads up, in 10.2 WEs are limited to 1/3 of your army. Unfortunately, Adam's told me that the Armyforge can't handle that type of restriction so you have to check for yourself. With the 2 dules, harridans and Trygons plus the Dom the nids were at 1500.

Watching the template cutting brought tears to my eyes.

It was very good as a play test for me on how to use the Tau, . . . for the Greater Good.

I did struggle to work out how to scratch the bio-WE so that is useful support for the 1/3 points limit on bio-WE.

Any advice from more experienced Tau Commanders would be useful.

Ya, that doesn't make me too hopeful for a bio-titan list.

Ah!! That's interesting cheers, but honestly that's also damn messy when it comes to list construction and you'd be much better off just reformatting the list in some way to account for this problem.

I'd suggest shifting Harridans, Hierodules, Hierophants, and Trygon Swarms into "BioTitan Brood" part of the list and make the limit 1/3.

I also wouldn't worry about the Dominatrix counting towards the limit, as it's only 4DC and you can only have one. Trygons only being 5+RA are comparatively less of a threat and other armies can easily get more WE RA than that if they want (Imperial, Eldar, Chaos, Ork just for a start). I don't think there is any good reason for Tyranids being less capable in that regard unless their WE are overpowered - and comparing them I don't think they are yet. If you really want the Dom brood to count towards the WE limit, then make the limit of the Bio-Titan Brood section 1/4, or alternatively shift the Dominatrix there, but I don't think either of these measures is necessary given years of playtesting the nid lists against all other opponents.

Ya, a little messy. It is effectively one extra check like the Necron list. I went with what I did as I didn't want the brood creatures that you can add to a Nexus/Harridan/Trygon swarm counting towards the limit.

I've fine opening it up to restructuring but I want the list approved first. After that, hashing out something that get's us 90% there with less mess is fine.
