Dactylis hit the Havocs and Chosen, taking a Havoc out.


A Rhino mounted Havoc double up and take out a Stealer.


A Swarm doubles up and lays another BM on the Chosen.


Another Chosen doubles up and lay a BM on the Stealers.


A Swarm doubles up and takes one of them out.


Land Raiders fail to kill a Zoanthrope but vaporize 4 Termagants.


Exocrines double and take out a Havoc.


The Havocs double and lay a BM on the Swarm after summoning 6 Flamers.


The chosen retain and engage the swarm, only the Fearless stuff survices.


The Dom double up and lobs a energy burst at the BTS for a BM.


The bikes march up and hit the Dactylis next turn.


Stealers engage the Havocs.


They wipe them out.


The Feral engages them, kills one, wins and hacks down one.


The BTS doubles and lays a BM on the Dom.


A Swarm doubles and takes out a bike.


A retinue doubles and lays a BM on a swarm.


The linebreaker doubles and takes out a marine.


The bikes double.


Tyrgons surface.


Lictors teleport in while in timeout.

Turn 2


Turn 2


The Lictors engage the armor.


They take 4 out, loose 2 to support, win and break.


The Linebreaker engages the bikes.


5 to 3 bugs.


The bikes get eaten.


Havocs engage the Dom (BMs on are the other swarm).


It goes a second round and she gets in BtB, they die and she's down to 1DC.


The Chosen engage the weak swarm, all but the painted fex go down.


The Dom advances on the BTS and takes out the Warlord, Champion and a Rhino with her pulse.


The Chosen summoned and place a BM on the Trygons, the Feral retains and engages them.


One makes it out with 1 wound. The Dactylis sustain on the retinue and lay 6BM.


The Retinue advances here after summoning Stanky by killing off the champ.


The retinue marshals.


The swarm that ate the bikes double on the chosen, laying a BM.


The Zoanthrope swarms double and lay a BM on the chosen.


The Stealers go from broke and engage the retinue, only one marine goes down.


The stealers are wiped out.

Turn 3


The BTS summons and engages the Zoanthropes.


The bugs die in droves.


Only the Warriors remain.


The retinue sustains and only manages a single BM (despite the Greater Daemon on Nurgle, Hey Oh!)


The Dom advances on the bikes and kills all but one.


The bike eaters eat the Chosen.


And claim an objective, absorbing the fex.


The Feral engages the Linebreaker.


It breaks and falls back towards the Blitz.


The Chosen engage the Warriors, one made 7 saves and refuses to die.


It holds its ground.


The Trygon marches for T&H.


We called it at this point, 2-0 bugs with T&H and DTF.

Chaos had some terrible luck, loosing turn 1 and 2 strategy to the bugs (a first for our group). Their saves weren't all that great either. Bugs ended up winning it turn 3 with T&H and DTF, and two swarms yet to activate.

The Chaos Gods were very fickle that day. My crappy dice combined with Dave's great armor saves meant that Chaos had to surrender the planet to the Hive Mind. "Drop your weapons, they're useless against them!" - what can you do, dice turning on their owner is just a part of the game. captPiett did "bad touch" my dice before the game and got his bad dice rolling mojo/funk all over them, I think I will have to wash them with bleach. I might, might, have been able to force it to turn 4 had I noticed the lone Trygon hiding behind a building just waiting to grab an objective. Turn 4 would have been ugly, so I'll take the turn 3 loss. My rather gassy Great Unclean One didn't do much this time, but it was fun just to have him on the board to inspire childish sound effects.
