I'm thinking of converting some Rhinos into Razorbacks and I have a couple of questions. If you use Razorbacks (or any alternative transport to Rhinos), are the units Rhinos kept or replaced?

Tips or strategies using Razorbacks?

rhinos essentially 'top up' the transport slots, so pick all your upgrades, add razorbacks, add land raiders, then 'fill up' the remaining transport slots with the minimum number of rhinos

for example, 4 stands of devs, add a razorback, and then add 2 rhinos.... if you added 2 razorbacks, you could only add a single rhino

most people use them to increase formation size, and give them a handy AT or AP shot, scouts with Las razorbacks are nice garrison troops

Agreed Kyuss. Note people usually buy odd numbers of RBs to leave a small transport excess (one unit).

I don't think there are any formal tactics on their use of BBs, except perhaps to keep one in the front, so that if it is destroyed by long range AT fire, the formation does not automatically lose its mobility.

I was considering this. Which type do you use?

Very much depends on the enemy I face. If it's a tank heavy enemy I go with AT (obviously!) I also sometimes add a couple to a tactical squad and park them on my blitz with on over watch

If you've only got a spare 25 points to eat up and can't afford a dread sometimes they can be handy to add ommph to a scout garrison. Another approach that can make for a nasty little nut to crack is with devestators (4 on 4 razorbacks). Usually in 3k points other things are more needed (Thawks) but above that that can be a handy reaction force and objective grabber.

This is very true and good advice. If I have the points I add a single Las Razorback onto some to all of my Tactical, Devestator or Scout formations. I never normally add more than 1 to a single formation.

Generally in Epic AT fire is more valuable than AP fire. I take a Lascannon Razorback over a Heavy Bolter one 95+% of the time.

Yep single razorback to a formation here or there, though a mate also has also used full razorback transport to good effect.

usually for the extra transport and the additional AT shot (without landraiders somewhat lacking in the spacemarine lisst). They are a solid filler.
