Hi!
I'm a traditionalist when it comes to chapters. I still only use ultramarines and Imperial fists.
Heck I dont even like space wolves...although that may be due to there "cheddary" flavor in 40k second edition.

Hi!
I liked the fluff on how they follow the codex and on how they didn't have any "cheesy" special power or such like the other chapters.
I also like how they are the only space marine chapter with a mini-empire within the Imperium - Ultramar.

Hi!
Good point Markconz. The color schemes for some chapters are a little too "colorful".

When I started painting Epic miniatures, the Dark Angels still wore black.
So nobody was tempted to paint their marines as Rainbow Warrioirs, then? (Don't disappoint me and say you don't remember THAT lot.)

Sons of Janus - codex basis, with one quirk - a Dreadnought chapter master. I have a total of one rhino painted....

Primarch: I thought most of the SM chapters had a domain of sorts, i.e. a mini-empire, usually a planet they used to recruit from.
I knew someone with a rainbow warriors army. It was hideous, and I think he sold it to someone who used it for Slaanesh.
SM Chapter: Emperor's Tears, white with dark blue teardrop, a la blood angels, and orange and gold for trim. I currently have ~8K painted.

Hi!
Neal, all SM chapters have a planet they recuit from or a small solar system for the same purpose, but I only know of the Ultramarines having a whole "system" of space under their rule, not just one planet or solar system.

Yes, when I started playing the Dark Angels were Black ... I always thought that was appropriate. Many of mine are painted in a Polly's S color - Grimy Black.

How many points a side for Maksim's CONQUEST game? - Two to eight players...
I've planned 1,800 points a side with the provision if only two show up then we'll combine two of the sides for a 3,600 point game. It is scenario-driven as well.
I'm now questioning whether 1,800 points is adequate.
What does everyone think?
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.
