So, this has been an interesting weekend...I split with the boyfriend, and I'm starting a new job on Monday, so I decided to take today off from my second job (working at my LGS) and just relax and work on the titan. I based him last monday.

I decided on 26 gauge wire, because A) it's thick enough that it'll still be visible, B) it's thin enough to be easily pliable, and most importantly C) it was all I could find that was really suitable at the craft store.
I made heavy use of insta-set on the super glue, so that I wasn't going to be stuck holding a filddly piece of wire that I'd probably glue to myself.
I started from the back. There wasn't a whole lot of detail back there, so I felt safe going with a big lightning strike arcing all the way to the ground.

I started working my way around, clockwise. Got some arcs up onto the shoulder pad, and an arc from the left foot onto the ground.

Followed by an arc to the head from his body, and from the gun to his right shoulder.

I felt the big strike in the back needed balancing in the front, so I went with a smaller strike off of the tip of his gun, and also arced from the hand to the leg, and then put another arc on the inside of his right leg. That essentially finished all that I wanted to add, I didn't want to overwhelm the model.

I reinforced the twisted wire with superglue, which also served to smooth it out a bit. Here's a shot of the finished wire arcs from the back.

I primed the wire white once it was dry, and then hit it with a coat of yellow, and then again with a very thin coat of white.

Lastly, I wanted to tie the lightning into the ground. I made a wash of yellow, traced some lines on the ground from where the lightning was hitting, and then hit that with a thin stripe of white after it dried.

The finished product:
