Sentinel 1 and 2 deploys along the whole table edge to prevent planetfalling units from dropping down to close. Scouts moves in into some buildings. They all go on Overwatch

First turn goes to Mechanicum (AM) and somehow suspects planetfall

TURN 1
AM - Reaver 1 goes Overwatch
AM - Retain initiative, Reaver 2 goes Overwatch
IH - Stormravens CAP
AM - Thunderbolt 1 CAP
IH - Heavy Infantry Advance, shoots down 1 voidshield on Warhound 2
AM - Warhound 1 Advance on Heavy infantry. IH scouts shoots from Overwatch placing 1 Blastmarker (BM). Warhound kills 1 rhino, 1 razorback, 1 devestator
IH - Landspeeders double against Warhound 1. Sentinels 1 fire on Overwatch placing 1 BM. Landspeeders 0 hits…
AM - Warhound 3 double against landspeeders killing 4. The last one breaks and hides behind some structures
IH – Clan 2 double into forest
AM – Sentinels 2 Hold + Regroup
IH – Warhound double against Warhound 1, taking down all shields and 2 wounds. Critical hit, Warhound 1 is out.
AM – Thunderbolt 2 ground attack lone landspeeder. Stormravens intercept killing both.
IH – Spaceship drop pods and fire barrage killing one sentinel… drop pods manage to kill one more breaking the unit. Deploying Clan 1, Dread Phalanx 1 and 2.
Reavers fire on Overwatch. Due to sneaky deployment one reaver fires 12 shots at a lone dreadnought in unit 1 (BTS) killing it. Reaver 1 shoots at the same target killing 2 more dreads and one venerable dread. The unit breaks.
IH – Retain. Clan 1 Hold + shoots at Warhound 2, 3 hits = 2 voidshields and one wound breaking the warhound
AM – Warhound 4 double against dreadnoughts 2 killing one
IH – Dread 2 Hold action + regroup
End of turn 1 Everyone except Sentinel 1 manages to regroup.

TURN 2
IH – Warhound advance on Reaver 1, 1 voidshield down.
IH – Retain Engage Reaver 1 with Clan 1. Wins close combat but only manages to score one wound, looses 2 veterans. Reaver 1 breaks and hides in nearby ruin.
AM – Warhound 3 Sustain on Dread 1 killing 1 veteran, breaking it again.
AM – Retain Reaver 2 Advance on Clan 2 killing 1 razorback
IH – Dread 2 engage Warhound 4 lowering 1 shield and doing 1 wound causing the Warhound to flee.
AM – Thunderbolts groundattack Dread 1 killing both = 1 Victory Point BTS
IH – Heavy Inf. Hold + Move
AM – Warhound 2 Advance on Clan 2 killing one Spacemarine
IH - Stormravens intercept the thunderbolts without luck.
AM – Sentinels 2 double against Dread 2 placing a BM
IH – Scouts double and place BM on Warhound 3
IH – Landspeeder Hold + Break
IH – Clan 2 sustains on Warhound 2, 1 voidshield down.

TURN 3
IH – Clan 1 engage Reaver 1. Reaver kills 2 Spacemarines, veterans does 1 wound, reaver wins and hacks down another marine… (The Reaver saves 5 hits MW and normal. IH has +2 on the roll but loses anyway, the battle looks lost

AM – Reaver 1 Advance on Warhound lowering all shields and making one wound. Warhound breaks
AM – Retain Reaver 2 Sustain against Clan 2 killing 2 rhino, 1 razor and 1 marine
IH – Clan 2 Sustain against Warhound 2. 1 BM Warhound breaks
AM – Warhound 3 doubles against Clan 2 killing 2 and breaks it.
IH - Landspeeder advance on Warhound 3 = 1 BM
AM - Warhound 4 double to Blitz objective and killing of the remaining marines in Clan 2
IH – Scouts double placing a BM on Warhound 3
AM – Sentinel 2 double on dread 2, 1 BM
Dread 2 advance on Reaver 1 = 1 BM
AM – Thunderbolt ground attacks Heavy inf = 1 BM
IH – March against blitz leaving 3 behind and breaks…? The battle is over

Summary:
It was a (mostly) fun game
AdMech was a fair winner no doubt.
Rolling one 1 four of my six activation-rolls might have made some impact and the somewhat unlucky (or lucky depending on who’s side you are on

) engagement with the reaver but I would probably have lost anyhow. I still lack the skill to planetfall with grace, the barrage always hits a lone rock or similar and the punch of several units emerging from pods never happens. Guessing I’m doing something wrong.
The Dreadnought is painfully slow but very good. Next time I will have at least 3 units The mix with dreads and veterans is frightening (against opponents within 20 cm and if you manages to roll more than one save when shot at.)
The titans is a hard opponent, especially as we make our lists before we know what we will face. This time I was lucky to have a lot of AT shots.
It’s hard to get the activation count up, the clans tend to be quite small. This time I tried to bring a “large” one but it almost feels as a mistake as I had the same number of activations as my opponent who had titans…
The airplanes was ok, seems a little overpriced compared against the thunderbolts as they are made for CAP and not so much more but I guess the 1+ initiative is worth a whole lot in the long term.
