Ah, fair enough. Yes, I agree that would be useful.

I've got all the Ork Speed Freeks' images done now too. There's a some errors/typos I need to track down and fix, but I'll do that in the morning.

It's distributed from person to person but not publicly. I'll send you a PM with a link.

I'm two turns in to a 2k Tabletop game with Rastaman:

Due to play the second turn of the game with Alf in the morning and I've made good progress on getting Biel-tan done for Tabletop.

You will all be glad to know that I've got selecting and moving multiple units at once working in Tabletop. I need to fix a few bugs, but I should have a new release available soon, including the armies Glyn has been working on.

I finished playing my first game of Tabletop this morning :) My orks got beaten by Alf's IG in his first ever game of Epic Armageddon. It was slower than real life and the connection played up a bit at one point but it was great to play :)

As Glyn says, we finished our game last night (opposite sides of the world) and I managed to pull off a win. Mainly due to a very freaky result in an assault between a stompa mob led by a Supa Stompa and a mechanized infantry company which resulted in the Supa Stompa going down - if it had gone the other way it would have been a lot closer, but it was getting late so a fairly convenient result at least!

Thanks for guiding me through my first game Glyn, I couldn't have hoped for a nicer guy to hold my hand through the mechanics and help me with EA tactics 101, top bloke!

One other addition that should be quite easy but very useful would to have some visual clue when the dice have rolled, maybe report it back in the text dialog or have the dice flash or glow? I don't think it does this at the moment but I might just not have noticed; with the possibility of lag and fat fingers on laptop trackpads it's sometimes unclear if that single dice really did just roll another one or if there was just a glitch in the matrix!

The app works great though, we did have some lag issues last night and Glyn couldn't interact with the server for a while, despite being able to see what was going on but I guess that just the nature of peer to peer gaming. It's still very cool to be able to play against people anywhere on the planet; just get some fancier terrain sorted and barrage templates and it'll be a great little app.

Right, so how do these Tau play then...

That's a good point about dice rolls, I hadn't really thought about what would happen if the same number rolls twice. I'll add a little flash to show it's rolled.

1) it would be nice to have the die rolls listed above, just like it does with measurements
2) the ability to build and save maps would be a great advantage
3) I'd like to see the possibility saving and loading multiple games so we could have more than one game going on at any one time

1) Yep, no problem, will do
2&3) Part of the same issue really. I've always planned to add multiple save game slots, some of which could be used to save premade maps. I'll get on it.

That would help, there have been a couple of times now I've stared at the single dice, not sure if it's rolled the same result or not registered my click and rolled. Flash would indicate it 90+% of the time but I think adding a text line about dice being rolled (doesn't have to say the result) each time to the little list of recent actions on the top left might be an idea too, incase you happen to miss the flash.

Goodo on multiple saved games. Both my 2k games so far have taken around 5 hours each and been played over a couple of sessions, interspaced between each other, and while this hasn't been an issue yet it would be handy to have.

Ok, for anyone else being dumb like me, you have to edit the config.cfg file that gets places in %USER_HOME%/Documents/My Games/darkplaces/tabletop, not the one in the application directory...

Looks *much* better now...

I don't know if it's of interest, but I had the same problem. I edited the file in the normal folder first but it didn't work until I edited the file under /my games

I'm too busy this week to have any time to finish up the work in progress Tabletop armies. If next week goes to plan then I should have masses of free time to get them and others done though.
