I was presenting the FAQ and current position regarding OW against air-transports as they land.

Actually I have some sympathy with the view that A/c may suffer OW *after* they have completed their move (including disembarking troops). This would close the 'beardy' loop-hole that empty A/c cannot be shot, which seems a bit of a nonsense. However, this might be deemed a bit harsh where a transport lands to pick up troops, as it would potentially mean that the OW fire destroys the A/c and embarked troops (albeit a realistic outcome in a 'hot' LZ)

Note, A/c planetfalling do not actually make a move so cannot be the target of OW (basically they arrive on the table as part of the spacecraft's activation), though troops that opt to disembark at that point *do* trigger OW.

Surely "ow triggers at the end of the unit's move" is the key. ie AC with troopsonly end their move when the troops have disembarked. Empty ACs end their move after they land - simples (UK only advert reference i suspect.)

Killing evac AC seems completely reasonable.

I also don't see barging with an AC a problem - id tend to move if a TH was about to land on me! ;D (unless players are trying to buldozer whole lines of troops like the old SM2 wave serpent template!)
