Black Library has just released a new ebook/short about a Titan Princeps struggling with his stricken Imperator.

The cover is pretty cool, so I thought I'd share it. Epic players should love Titans after all.

Overall I'm not much of a fan. The upper leg looks better but the Plasma Annihilator looks terrible and unfinished.

I bought the ebook on the whim, first thing I've bought from the BL in years.

It's only a few pages long and not that fantastic. An Imperator has had most of it's leg armour coroded away after crossing the 'Boiling Sea' on Armageddon (no explanation why it did so) and it then gets attacked by two giant ork superheavies (I'm guessing Mega-Gargants but it doesn't specify) who take down it's shields and blow it's legs apart at the knee.

If there was a battle scene between these I would have been happy but it's just mentioned past tense and the story is about the Princeps blowing up his own dying titan to stop the orks looting it. Wasted opportunity!

If you're after a good fight between an Imperator & loads of gargants give Helsreach by Aaron Dembski Bowden a try, it's a good read.
