A "stay logged in" box would be nice, BTW.

Also, the Space Marine descriptive text talks about Warmhammer (a friendlier, more welcoming GW product).

NetEA seems to be unique in this respect. After having looked at NetEpic and EpicFR (and I'm already familiar with EpicUK) they seem to be comparatively tight. Anyway, I have added the facility to link to external files / pages as an alternative to hosting files. I used this for NetEpic rules and lists, since I don't yet have the ability to upload 100MB files.
I was thinking more of the way that there's EpicUK plus NetEA plus EpicFR. NetEA's Compendium's about as user-friendly as EpicUK's stuff (we see the mess because we hang around here, after all), but the fact that there's so much (necessary) overlap between the two might definitely be confusing for new players if both sets of lists are presented together.

Get with the times, man.

Converting the PDFs is not out of the question. I had it in mind to create an HTML template for army lists. Using the CMS, people would be able to quickly create army lists that can be displayed on any type of device. Once a list was created, updating it would be incredibly easy. Formatting, spacing and typography would always be bang on - you wouldn't even have to think about it.
I'm totes with the times! I am very fond of my phone. I just don't think that I should expect to read long-form things with tiny fonts on it. Or read really long forum threads and then make hundred-plus word posts on it. Or any of the variety of other things people see to expect from a five inch by three inch screen with a minimal keyboard.

A legitimate concern which is at the forefront of my mind, given the hours I'm putting in.

I'm hoping the site will mature into a really useful resource for organised groups as well as players. If I provide the tools to make this happen, people won't forget to update it.
True enough.

It will be less intimidating than navigating through these forums (brilliant for us as they are) trying to figure out what it all means, which is what I did for weeks, if not months.

The content is far from finished - let's see how it pans out. Also, finding out what people close to you play is part of what the site covers.

That's why I wouldn't suggest referring people directly here, but pointing 'em at the NetEA website (which is designed to at least sort-of make sense to new people). Dear God, don't point them here and say "go find your army list". The poor dears will die!
