Hi

So are there any Epic Armageddon rules for the below Khorne engines. So far only those I have marked in red seem to have rules in the 2012 compendium.

If you use them as "count as" what do you sue them for?

Khorne Lord of Battle
Khorne Brass Scorpions
Khorne Greater Daemon

Khorne Daemon Prince, Chaos Herald Angron
Khorne Death Dealer
Khorne Blood Reapers
Khorne Tower of Skulls
Khorne Doom Blasters
Khorne Cannons of Khorne
Khorne Cauldron of Blood, daemon engine
Khorne Deathdealer

As a newbie to the forum,

Cannons of Khorne are now called Hellfire Cannon in the LotD/Stigmatus lists.
All the other Khorne Damon Engines seem to be lumped in together under the Daemonic Assault Engines entry, or in the NetEA World Eaters list, Khorne Assault Engines/Khorne Support Engines.

The khornate daemon engines were 'abstracted' a little in the NetEA World Eaters list to avoid having separate stats for all the variations. The list has two favours of engine: Assault and Support. Each of these then has two sub-sets of stat options, with the intended mini use in mind:

Assault engine Cannons: Blood Reaper
Assault engine Guns & Assault: Brass Scorpion, Death Dealer
could use tower of skulls and cauldron for either of the above.

Support engine Doom Blaster: Doom Blaster
Support engine Warp Cannon: Cannon of khorne

The death dealer also has discrete stats in the Chaos Squat army list.

Very helpful. Thanks!
Are they any good?

And what about Angron?

Angron had stats of his own in very early versions of the list. Now I would use him as a bloodthirster or as a daemon prince.

That's a shame.

Am I right in that a World Eater EA list does not have daemon princes only black legion?

No. World Eaters can take a daemon prince, specifically 'Khornate Daemon Prince'.

Ah cool. Missed that.

Final question:
Looking at the chaos sprue:

And the EA World Eater list. What would be good for Possessed and what would be good chosen units?
Other proxies for Chosen and Possessed?

For the Possessed in the WE list I use converted berserkers, with wings added from the helmets of WFB grave guard plastics. I also use them to proxy raptors for black legion.
Painted example:

Unpainted to show conversion:

Similarly chosen were made from berserkers but i converted the chainswords into chain axes and added trimmed down flesh hounds tot he bases for chaos hounds.

Can't seem to find a good picture of my chosen painted with their hounds, but here are the chain axe conversions for them, unpainted:

You can see them with hounds in the rear 2 ranks of this photo:

For his army, Frogbear made his chosen stand out by painting them with black armour for the body and legs as well, I think.

Draccan, here are the most recent Agron rules I can find for world eaters. These are back from Frogbear's v1.3 draft of the World Eaters from 2009. By comparison the current NetEA list is v3.7 i think, so these stats are 4 years old and many versions old, and even then they were only in the 'apocalypse' experimental sub-list for the WE, not the core list, so these are probably not very tested:

World Eaters Apocalypse List (appendix list of World Eaters v1.3, 2009):
Angron

Angron – Primarch of the World Eaters (Post-Heresy)
Angron is a hulking, muscular giant with the skin the colour of spilt blood. His face is
bestial and fang filled, his eyes milky white without iris or pupil. Angron fights with a mighty Chaos blade with runes of doom and destruction. His voice is like the roaring of a mighty storm and mortals quail at his approach.

Angron Replaces a Daemon Prince unit, +75 points

Type    Speed  Armour  Close Combat  Firefight
Infantry   30cm   4+     2+      5+

Weapon         Range     Firepower       Notes
Angron’s Black Blade  Base Contact  Assault Weapons   MW, Extra attack (+3)
Roar of Hate       (15cm)     Small Arms

Notes: Daemonic Pact, Fearless, Inspiring, Save, Jump Packs, Reinforced Armour, Supreme Commander, Teleport.

Seems funny that lascannons bounce off him while bolters hurt. Probably should be an AV (or better he's a W/E like most greater deamons are, right?)

There were rules in the old lists from the GW site as well, from before Frogbear was army champ, but i don't have a copy on this HDD. Might have been an AV/WE in those.

But yes, having him as a bound/non-summoned bloodthirster would make sense.

Thanks for the inspirational pics and rules and ideas.
I love this forum! :spin

I do however think it would have been great if the 2012 list had more rules in them.. incl. some for an important and iconic character like Angron.

The current Primarches from the Horus Heresy range are powerful but not that big and most likely to be infantry.

The old epic Primarches are of a size that they should be WE. It depends which height source you prefer to go with (you could assume all the Chaos Primarches grew to 3 times their old volume after turning, but this would be a very consistent mutation when they are meant to be more random).
