Hi!
It will be intereting to see which GW and in what regions of the US will even have epic when it is finally released in the US.

Ouch... if 4 LRs are the price of a Marine dreadnought... that's 55$ CDN. That's like, 28 coffees! On the other hand, I, not having come from ye olde times of Epic, think 125$ US for an army is relatively cheap. Compared to other systems, no, but for GW, yes.
Then again, this hasn't stopped me from trying to grab all the 2nd hand Epic I see around me... Let's see... 2 weeks of playing the game and my Eldar army is done.

The prices don't seem too bad to me, comparing the prices to the original prices for epic models when AT first came out many years ago most things have about doubled i.e Land Raiders were ?2.50 for two which rose to ?2.99 for two soon after, they're now ?3.00 each so about double, Predators ?2.99 for three now ?9 for four. This seems pretty good considering that most GW stuff is closer to 4 times the price it was back then.
Only thing that seems expensive to me is the Reaver Titan which has gone from ?3.50 to ?15.00!

I'm also of the opinion that the prices are entirely reasonable.
A twelve year old with a paper round could afford a tournament sized army in roughly three or four weeks. That's really not that expensive at all then.
So I'm going to take a rough pop and say ?75 for a tournament-sized army. That's about two video games, three or four DVDs, 5 CDs or one (and maybe a bit of change left) gig.
It really doesn't compare to be that expensive against other forms of entertainment. I've done some looking about and can neither find 6mm models up to the same quality as Epic or that are significantly cheaper.
By all means if you feel it's too expensive vote with you wallet and don't buy - also if you wouldn't mind try and explain to me why you feel it's too expensive, especially when the prices compare to other entertainment so well.

Well, I've been playing GW's games for the last ten years. I didn't fully play Epic: Space Marine but I bought some models. I also bought Epic 40k on release day. Along with playing many other GW games along the way.
It's always been affordable enough, while Epic is factually more expensive than E40k, that was 7 or so years ago. The price increases really aren't seriously huge, an army for Epic compares to other entertainment just as it did 7 years ago.
If you stop thinking price for GW's stuff should be a markup on the cost of the materials then you realise it's not that expensive. (Of course it can get expensive if you want it to, but so can anything else and that's your choice!)
Oh, hello too! Nice boards. Wasn't too keen on the default colour scheme though - much prefer 'Codex Grey'!

Hi!
It should be a solemn, heartfelt moment. Another archive order may be far off.....
