Good point "P" !   I have a GZG Epic scale Heavy Drop Ship about that size (you can still buy it on that site), but I had the cash and didn't have to sell a body part ! :laugh:  :D  :)

Hi!

When such "large scale" models are mentioned I need but look at the Tau manta on th FW site. With the weak bollar that ONE model is worth over 70 dollars all by itself.

I have no interest in epic models being worth that much.

Those prices belong in 40k not epic.

Not, Primarch: a 40K plastic Rhino is cheaper than a kidney (well, most kidneys, I guess...), and then , with a bit of conversion work....CI! :p

Why do you think I havent arranged something yet ;)   I have ordered some though and that should square things up a little :)   At least it means I can lose thorough inexperience rather than shortage of AA units.

L4: I had 5 mantas at the last count and I need one more for another cadre army. My intention was to have 3 each for the cadres I would have.

Primarch: you are crazy! I just dont have the armies you have but I am trying my best.   However there is only one Primarch here!!      :p

moves are one of epic minis worst enemies.  Although there are many great ideas on how to store them and transport them.  

I will have to look into transporting my Tau when I fly back over.

the mantas, as far as I was concerned were the next best thing to titans.  There has been no mention of any other units that would take on the titans role, unless they introduce something as an update on Tau technology.

It would be interesting to find out what the Tau have excluding the manta that could knock a titan out.  The ion cannons and rail guns on the hammerheads wouldnt be as strong as say the shadowsword would it?  I am not sure myself as I havent checked out the rules as yet.

I think after seeing the newer Tau stuff, I break down and get some. Only vehicles though. I'll need to suffer a stroke before I buy  Tau infantry....

According to the Tau codex, Mantas are their closest equivalents to Titans.
