As a relative newcomer to the boards*, I've never been able to find a clear list of who's what, or – perhaps more importantly – what all the acryonyms and forum jargon mean.
I started
this thread about forum jargon, but it never really took off. It'd be nice if one of 'the management' could just write a nice simple glossary for people.
Honestly, after three years I still don't
really know what the ERC is, what it does, or who composes it. I'm not being obtuse or deliberately ignorant, but if this info isn't somewhere obvious, people are just going to ignore it. It's off-putting to new members and initimidating to people who want to use the forum to discuss Epic.
That has a knock-on effect of people coming into the forum to use the info, but not wanting to contribute.
This is a very good point. I will start up a 'forum guide' which can be used as a landing point for the boards, giving details of the history and structure, and how people can get on board.
The thread for this will be here:

BTW - Is there a reason why manufacturers can't publish their own lists compatible with EA ?
There is not. I can see why some companies might not want to officially distribute lists for their minis in EA, but fan development of this is something that I actively encourage.
