So I have quite a few Kraytonians from DRM and some Tarragin from Exodus that I have planned to use in "lizardfolk" epic army, but I cant decide on what army list to use with them. I have been more into the hobby then the actual game so I'm not fully knowledgeable about the different armies playstyles and such, any advice?

Will they be having giant lizards too? If so the Feral Ork list could be an idea with it having Squiggoths and the gigantic Orkeosaurus, which you could use other lizards to count as them. Feral Orks are a low tech horde force that are deadly in close combat, but notably slow compared to other armies.

Regular lizards could be boyz, the larger ones nobz, ect.

Slanns are cool, but I wasn't aware that they had an armylist?

I'm gonna try to stay away from Dino-ranger territory ;D But the regular ork list would function as well? What would you recommend for a more high-tech approach?

I've organized them like Orks ... and certianly see them useful in my 6mm Sci-fi forces ... Image With the Katzeli being used as Nobs, Kameli as Kommandos, Light Infantry = Boyz, Heavy Infantry = Heavy Boyz, Lizard Cav = Boar Boyz, etc. ... I did similar with my Exodus Wars Terragin. I even added a unit of Raptors from CinC's SEM line to the list. Image I'm a big fan of Lizardmen in Sci-fi since Kirk took on the Gorn ! Image I even made some Gorn Mercs to go with my Ork Freebooter/Mercs ... Image

I've been grabbing some and intend to use them as an alternative Tau. Really only missing the crisis/broadside suits (and Onslaught miniatures is releasing them soon). Note the three superheavy fliers have big cargo pods supplied with them that are not shown in the photos, so good for Mantas (Aryx, which is huge), or Orca (Araspan, which is also quite big).

Given that the Battlefleet Gothic Tau have two completely different styles of fleet (GW and FW versions), I don't mind the different style.

Thanks !! As said, they will go with my Ork Freebooterz, from the old SM1/SM2 rules/fluff ... As far as Ork or Eldar for the Krays, I figure they'd be more like hi-tech Orks. Their Grunts are more like Orks but their tech more like Eldar ! ;D An interesting mix !

Yes! And Andrayada too. Given that 40K universe is pretty well covered by both NetEA and EUK it might be a good opportunity to work on these races, gven they have great ranges available. The Pax are already covered by the various guard lists well enough.

Cool stuff Legion 4! :o Do you use the kraytonian tanks and what models stand in for snotlings?

Quote:
From the Kraytonians fluff Biel-tan Eldar would be the best stand in. They're a hi-tech civilisation (skimmeres, teleporters etc) with a strong martial code, they employ a few more primitive auxilary troops which ride horse sized lizards... a bit like exodites!

Sounds good, do you think there a place for the beefier Tarrangin in the list?

At on stage someone was writing an EA list for the Kraytonians but it was not at all successful due to a relative lack of experience.

Now this would be something ;D Too bad I cant be much of help :(

Thanks ! I use all the Kray tanks, vehicles, etc. for my Lizardman Army. If you look close on my TO&E/chart, you can see where I assigned those. I plan on giving my Terragins and CinC Raptors Ork Junka Trukks and such as they will be the more "Feral" Lizardmen. Where the Krays are more high tech. As I said an interesting mix for gaming. Have not completed my Terragin/Raptor Chart yet. Need to assign the vehicles. I also thought about using some of the MicroWorlds Lizard Riders to be part of my Terrigan Forces ... Instead of Junka Trukks, etc. as one option ... http://www.microworldgames.com/collecti ... zardriders I did not use any thing for Snotlings ... but the CinC Raptors are smaller than the other Lizardmen. So they would be a good choice for those. I use them as Heavy Boyz for now ... You can see the Raptors next to this Commissar and IG Trooper for size comparison ... Image
