So I've been looking at Battlemarkers over on Ebay (http://stores.ebay.com/battlemarkers) and was thinking about army-specific markers for Epic. Probably something along the lines of "Activated", "Overwatch", and "Broken", with the words overlaying army specific art - Chaos symbol, Imperial eagle, Ork glyph, etc. I was thinking around 25 per set - 15 "Activated", 5 "Overwatch", and 5 "Broken" - would be sufficient.

Based on current prices, I'm going to guess a set would run about $10-$12 USD, which I think is pretty reasonable.

I've emailed the maker to get more info, but I just wanted to see if there would be any interest here to make it worth his while to do.

UPDATE (2013-01-03): I spoke to Scott of Battlemarkers, and he is more than willing to make Epic tokens. If anyone has any input on styles, wording, number in a set, etc., please let me know!

I'd prefer dice myself..... I find the order dice particularly useful, and multi-function, I made a bunch of tokens out of bases but got fed up having a big bag of them to carry around, now I have 12 order dice and they just about cover me

if there were some way to make them race specific however, I would be all over that!

yeah I wouldn't mind some. I was actually in process of making some graphics for use in a button maker to ghetto fab my own.

a BM set would be nice too. Hard to make it work easy with the physical format he's using however. I could easily imagine something similar to the litko tokens for their BFG style torpedo markers working in this fashion. Marker + a holder for a chit with number or other counting device (like a dice)

Yeah, I thought about blast markers, but, like you said, the format makes it difficult. At an inch per marker, you'd fill up a lot of space.

Of course, an easy way around that would be to create BMs with numbers (1,2,3,4,5) on them, then you could mix and match as needed. I don't know how many would be needed though - obviously, you don't want to get unwieldy with the amount of tokens you'd have to cart around.

Yeah I had thought along those same lines as well. Turns into a huge deal with have enough markers, like you said. Perhaps the idea of BM holder ala Litko might be something someone here getting into 3D modeling (there's quite a few posts recently on that topic) might want to give a stab at? Seems a pretty attainable first real project for someone (let's be honest, trying to create the next war engine proxy isn't probably something to tackle from the get-go :) )

For what its worth, I use beads (mille-feuille) from "redscopesemporium" on Ebay for Blast Markers. At approx £2 for 20-50 such markers you cannot go too wrong, and they have a variety of 15mm coloured wooden beads that would also do well for other meanings - eg spiral for Broken (showing they are 'dizzy' :) )
