Quote (CrimsonFury @ 02 2004 Feb.,19:49) | Well if you look at the costs in terms of how many points you get per pound, land raiders are the same as the other tanks:
Land raiders: 33 points per pound Rhinos: 0 points per pound Whirldwinds\hunters: 33 points per pound Predators: 33 points per pound
The best value item by far is the SM infantry box at 127 points per pound. | A very interesting way to look at it. I'd never actually done the math behind that, do you know if it equals out for other armies in a similar fashion?

Hey Primarch, would that there bridge fit between Malta and Gozo? Seeing I'm thinking of ordering some IG stuff, I might as well go the whole hog...

Yes, its not the same for all formatins. All the rhino based SM tank formations are the same size and points cost, so it was bound to be the same points per pound for each of them, I think the land raider matching was coincidence.
Other points costs:
IG tank company: 32.5 points per pound IG artillery company: 32.5 points per pound IG infantry company: 50 points per pound Chimeras: 12.5 points per pound Hyrdas: 18.75 points per pound Demolishers: 25 points per pound
Reaver titan: 43 points per pound
Ork warband: 75 points per pound (based on 2 big warbands, plus 4 stands each of stormboyz and kommandos). Gargant: 43 points per pound Battlewagons: 17.5 points per pound Fighta bommerz: 18.75 points per pound Warbuggies\skorchas: 25 points per pound
Looking at the above numbers, rhinos and chimeras give by far the worst points to pounds\dollars ratio.

Guys ... you can crunch & spin numbers all you want ... I was not born yesterday. Bottomline ... E:A stuff is not inexpensive or even reasonably priced. But like the fool I am ... I'll buy it ...

Primarch | Cars, Houses, Chicks, Epic....
All damned expensive, but as long as they put a smile on your face its money well spent.
Mind you I dont need a ferrari, a condo in the South Pacific or date Paris Hilton to make me happy either....
