Quote (GlynG @ 29 2004 Jan.,11:31) | Cheers for not mentioning that Tuffskull . | No problem. None of the new greens have been completed yet (first Super Heavies are due in this week but Will's said he's running a little late anyway!) so I cant say anything for definite, but I know a new Av is on its way around april with some other interesting stuff & I'll post pics as soon as I'm allowed ater I've painted it.

So how much of the old Eldar range (excluding infantry) be re-released?
Cheers

Always good to hear about new Eldar, cheers Tuff- if the new Avatar looks anywhere near as good as the SM2 one I'll grab one straight away.. I want something that can chop titans off at the knees, not just take on walkers!!

I honestly dont know I'm afraid. I know all the super heavies & titans are being redone, but I dont know about the rest of the range.
Jervis said at the tournament that a lot of the Eldar vehicles need to be redone, but whether he just ment that with respect to me & them needing to have new painted versions, or whether he meant they're re-making the models is anyones guess.

Hi!
Every time I hear the eldar title "stormwind" it makes me think about IG vehicles.
Could they make a more "eldarish" title?

Problem is the word is an amalgam. You see, "Storm" is certainly associated with IG, namely in the superheavy tanks. OTOH "wind" is something not normally associated with IG.

Minor points - its SWORDwind, not STORMwind....

You've clearly never shared a trench with an IG grunt after 3 weeks on vacuum packed rations........

Your little comment just gave a whole new meaning to the "Wind Rider Host" |
AWW MAN! A horrible image just appeared in my head - and just as I was preparing to go to bed!
Cheers!

For whatever reason my old OOP army only has 4 Gretchin stands (and thats after 3 infantry a stand). As GW does not sell Gretchin individually does anyone have any ideas on what I could use?
4 stands of Gretchin are simply not enough when most ork armies are runing around with 10+.

Hi Tadite, and welcome. I'm currently solving that problem, which I share, by building up my IG and space marines and ad mech (and previously Eldar)....and waiting for the Gargant BigMob (when was it, 2008, 2009?), and toying with all-Guntrukk-and-Strompa-and-Gargant armies, but as anyone (probably L4 ) will tell you, troops are essential. So I'm all ears - well, eyes - here too. I'd considered using the Space marine era boys, which are a little smaller, as some sort of weedy-orky-punishment-boyz equivalent to Gretchin, but I'm not convinced yet..

Tough question!
Now that Gretchin are finally worth having, noone has enough. We'll have to petition Jervis to put out a Gretchin pack for us Ork players!
In the mean time, I mix mine in with older Ork Boyz, Slaverz, Blunderpuss Gretchin and occasionally other figures to stretch them out.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.
