Hi all!

Just a quick message to say that I have spotted the IG infantry boxed set on the online store, but it's content differs from what was advertised in White Dwarf, as in it has no Snipers.

Cheers

Chris

Did they actually make Epic IG Snipers ?  Plastic ... metal ?  ???   Besides Ratlings from the past ?  ???

Well, in WD they advertised the plastic set as containing 'IG Snipers' iirc, but the picture was just of a Ratling stand...  :oo

Hmmm ... G/W giving confusing information ?  ???  Who would have thought ?!  :o    Along those lines, I e-mailed G/W US yesterday, and the US Catalogue won't be out until mid-Feb ... this is change #3 ?!  :oo   So anyway if you still want those Reaver parts, Storm, you have even more time to decide !   :;):

Oh yeah, one other thing I meant to ask you Legion4...
Do you know if GW US has the SM2 edition Avatar (the one holding the sword up in the air) available from the archive? ..I love the model and would really like one to lead my Eldar, but couldn't find it on the site tho..  :(

From the discusion on Epic Dev Forums we think the lack of Snipers may actually just be a typo by the Mail Order Trolls (it'd hardly be the first epic armagedon info they got wrong on the site).

SM2 Avatar is sadly OOP even on the US Mail Order - having only just placed an international order with them I really wanted to buy one but they no longer sell it anymore.

Actually if anyone out there has a secondhand one they don't want I would pay a reasonable ammount for it (say arround ?5 + postage?), though first dibs would have to go to stormseer...

Snipers are just the new name for Ratling snipers. That's why there was a pic of them in the WD

It probably is a typo, as no metal snipers are in production!

Cheers

Chris

Yes that is true ... maybe look on eBay or Bartertown for that SM2 Avatar, Storm. :(  As far as Snipers, that is what I thought ... Ratlings again.  But it works for me with this whole LotR/ Hobbit thing going on !   :D

Not that I said this, but they are making a new Avatar for Swordwind which is probably going to be closer to that version than the last one. It may be worth holding on to see what comes of it.  :blues:

Cheers for not mentioning that Tuffskull :).

I will wait and see how that turns out then before I start searching e-bay and second hand places for the older version...
