We played a Very Large Battle last weekend; 20.000 points worth of Orks assaulting 20.000 points worth of Guards, Marines and Titans defending a Hive City.

We did suffer a bit from "Apocalypse Syndrome", with too many units in too little space, so it was not a particularly great game. It was, however, a fantastic spectacle, with lots of beautifully painted models fighting over nice terrain. As an event, I think it was a great success Though, next time, we'll set it up to allow a bit more maneuver room.

Good stuff, great seeing all those old gargants together.

I have just sat and watched through all of the pictures - absolutely beautiful to see so many well painted minis all on the saem table!

This does live up to its name. Any battle with not one, but two Imperator Titans qualifies as large IMO

Looks like it would have been a really fun game. There seemed to be bucket loads of gargants knocking about! What saize board did you play this on? It looks like it was relatively small considering the point size. It's also a shame that there isn't a pic showing all the forces on each side together in one shot, in order to grasp exactly how much was involved.

Wonderful to see a major project like this come to fruition! The pics in the construction thread are great too! Thanks for posting.
