Mojarn,
I recently aquired some Squats from eBay, and would like to play a few games with them, would you mind sending me a copy of the list you are using? I got a version from one of the Yahoo groups, but want to see what else is around before I finalise on a list.
My e-mail address is chriscorker@DAKKAlycos.co.uk (remove the DAKKA - anti-spam control)
Cheers
Chris

Chris | I'll send it to you. The list is based on the NetEpic list so it includes a few units not in the yahoo group list, which is based on the original SM2 list. Also, I made it a few months ago so it may be slightly outdated; I haven't looked at the latest pdfs so I don't know if there is much difference. The point values were made by comparing to existing units and can be (and most likely are) way off.

Quote (Shadow Hunter @ 15 2004 Jan.,13:30) | To be honest, I think the PDF's have every page covered. | Its missing two important pages: 1) and most important - Page 1. Thats the one with the name of a number of Forum members on under the credits... Not least mine... Very important..... 2) The Page with the advert for Netepic.org. Also HIGHLY important & well worth suggesting everyone to buy the book
OK, so other than that its pretty much complete, just some minor alterations which Jervis said will be covered in the next PDF anyway...

All the ones I recognise go by their real names online anyway. Having had another look though, most are people I actually know from my days running epic40K.com and from the epic Yahoo group rather than this forum specifically. Maksims in there though - nice one mate

Thanks again, Tuffskull. I'll probably buy the book anyway, for the simple reason that I have all the previous editions of Epic. I am something of a collector as a few people around here may already know...

IIRC the people who got their name in the rule book credits are the 6 top posters on the EA forums + Tuffskull (or at least those are the 7 people Jervis CC'ed the email to)

Ahhhhh... That makes sense. & the others I know who arent as visably active were all part of "The Titans". Edit:Actually no, that doesnt make sense - What Email???
I should probably know this, ?but which name would that make you then, because none of them ring any bells as tieing in?

Steady lads......
Yes they went quantity over quality, but, infairness it wouldnt have been impossible for them to do anything else. Those who are named have certainly contruted a lot (besides myself, but I'm in as a painter not a development/playtester etc.)and whilst there will be those who have probably been critical to the games final form in their few suggestions, but not posted that often, it wouldnt be possible (or right IMHO) for Fanatic to try and decide who's comments were most worthy of specific mention.

Does anyone actually remember (or have an email from) Jervis saying that he picked the top seven (or however many it was) based on the number of posts?
My impression was that the people picked were the people he though contrinuted the most.
I may be wrong but that was certainly the assumption I got.

It was based on contribution and was intended to be a nod of thanks to acknowledge that the feedback from the playtesters was invaluable in helping us get the game right. I'm sure Jervis would have loved to name more of you, it was just the physical limitations and practicality of getting that many onto the credits page.
Everybody who provided feedback should give themselves a pat on the back as it definately helped iron out the rules and army lists, which to all intents and purposes were 'rough cuts' when we had finished pontificating about them and let you guys loose to test them out in anger.
If you think your feedback got heated, you should have seen the arguments we had during design, especially artillery, War Engines and the Overwatch action
Good job all. Everybody deserved a mention, but those that were particularly get my thanks for their input.
Regards Carl

I should probably know this, ?but which name would that make you then, because none of them ring any bells as tieing in? | Hmm, my mistake. I checked the email and you weren't one of the people it was sent to. I got an email from Jervis which was CC'ed to 6 other people, asking if I minded having my name put in the credits in the rulebook.
When I got the email, I browsed through the member list on the EA forum checking ppls email addresses, and matching them to the list of ppl the email was CC'ed to. 6 of them were the 6 highest post counts, the 7th one I couldn't find, I had assumed it was yours, but I just checked and its not.
My name is Aston Olsen.
