In the Black Templar list the Turbo laser version has lost all transport capacity, but gained hellfire missiles in addition to the turbo laser. I have to say I prefer that version, as it will leave room for a normal thunderhawk.
I'm taking my cues for the Thunderhawk in this list from the 40k version, which has evolved a lot from the old Epic approach. Given that the Turbolaser is present in all the most recent material (including Aeronautica Imperialis) and that it's an option on the current models, I'm allowing both weapon options on the transport version.

I'd prefer it if the list kept the Codex Astartes: Badab War name, as it's supposed to be a normal Codex chapter that has simply adapted to operating without Navy and AdMech support.
Yes, that was my original intention and preferred name, but I don't want to tread on Dobbsy's toes, so I've changed it for the moment. It's subject to change anyway – any suggestions for a final name will be appreciated!
A couple of designer's notes on the The Tyrant's Legion:
There's currently no option for a Supreme Commander, as I wanted to represent the disruption to command and communications that having Astartes and humans in the same force creates. In addition, the FW list has no HQ better than a Centurion (who is worse than a Marine Captain) beyond Lufgt Huron himself. In the background, the Centurions are in charge – there's no Captain-level Astartes available to the Tyrant's Legion to lead them...
Is this a suitable weakness (in concert with the strategy rating of 4 and very limited access to
leader?)
