In the background of the 40k Universe; how are titans actually deployed on to a planet? Are they just kicked out a cargo bay in orbit with ablative shielding, or do they have whomping BIG drop ships to deliver them to the surface?

i seem to recall an odd reference to a titan drop pod somewhere. but yeah, normally they're simply massive ships

That plus a pair of warlords as escort iirc!

However most of the time they're landed first and then walk to the battle zone.

I've looked into it, a hard book to find. I think it is either OOP or Out of Stock.

MJ - I've just had a look on Amazon - this book is still available (1 copy for £2.68)

Worth a look

I noticed on the chapters.ca site that there is an Iron Warriors Omnibus coming out in February. It has has "Storm of Iron" as well as a novella and couple of short stories in it. So, I'll probably check that out next year.

You will do yourself a great disservice by not reading Storm or Iron.

I still think it's Graham McNeill's best book.
