Hi!
I just ordered a large quantity of this line to cap off my epic terrain collection.
Since the tiles and roads are made of plexiglass, so what type of paint should be used? Acrylics?
Any suggestions on what to use (as well as colors) is appreciated.

I like to use RustOleum Lt Grey automotive primer and then you can go on top of that with anything you like. As a matter of fact the grey you see in that photo I posted is just the grey primer ... then I used acrylic railroad colors (Polly Scale) for the streets (Oily Black), sidewalks (Aged Concrete) and other accents. The main color is just the spray primer though.

If you use a good primer like that there is no prep work needed at all other than maybe a quick wash to make sure there is not oil from your hands on the parts. You could scuff up the the plastic a little with 320 or 400 grit sandpaper to insure a real good surface for the paint to "bite" into, but that falls into the optional/suggested category.

P.S. Your order will be on it's way to you probably tomorrow.

Hi!

Much obliged for your response and advice. :)

I suspected a good primer would do the trick. I have a collection of similar tiles in wood for 28mm and have used a good gray primer as base.

I am also planning to use a textured paint/primer to give the roads a "rough" texture in contrast to the side walks. I suppose that would work as well?

I really like your sand paper suggestion, and while optional, I am planning to do it as well.

Again, many thanks for your advice and looking forward to further offerings or such fine terrain pieces. :)

Ok then.. I'll wait for more items from this line :P

I hope you could do some intact buildings, similar to the old FW line and not only ruined ones.

Can you post some pix of the ones you are interested in? I'm not familiar with the "FW Line", but I'm sure I can do it.

Hi,
Sorry for the late response. FW I meant Forge World, they had a line of epic buildings, but I couldn't find any photos, myabe someone could help?
I think the most important stuff is that the building will be big, so they can be used in the game, again I would appreciate if somebody could give some examples.
Eyal.

These are resin castings. More are coming very soon including non ruined buildings.

This one was just released a few days ago

Very nice stuff you got there Allen. Is there a supplier in Europe for your products?

Yes, Me. I ship internationally every day. And I only charge you the actual US Postal Service charge, not a penny more. When you check out you will be charged a flat rate of $20 for shipping and when I ship your order I will refund the balance. Normally small orders cost in the neighborhood of $10 - $13 to ship .... a cost I would surely pass on to any European stockist and they would certainly pass on to you (plus a little more probably).

Get a few friends together and place one order and split the shipping between all of you and it will be very cheap. <-- that's my suggestion anyway.

Cheers,

Very impressive - I'll hold off until the intact buildings are available, but I'm very excited by the quality and aesthetics..

The latest addition to the line, a mega skyscraper

This building was modeled (loosely) after a building that is in Chicago. It could easily fit any large US city, many European cities and far future Sci-Fi as well as fantasy settings.

Large model. Measures 10.125" tall (257mm) and has a 3.125" x 2.125" (79mm x 54mm) footprint. The front and back of the building are identical so it looks great from every angle.

Come to think of it, I don't think I've shown this one either
