Well it seems the price of 12 pound for 4 land raiders is correct, since its been updated to that on the GW website: http://uk.games-workshop.com/storefr....=300808
Other than the rule book, most of the prices seem ok IMO. The thing that bothers me way more than the prices, is the numbers of models in some boxes\blisters not fitting with the formation sizes. Eg in the Ork warband box, there are enough boyz and grotz for 4 warbands, but only enough nobz to go with 2 of those warbands :\. And 3 whirlwinds and 1 hunter in a blister, when whirlwinds are a formation of 3.

I thought exactly that, but just to add further confusion, the Whirlwind/Hunter blister doesn't actually contain 3 Whirlwinds and 1 Hunter as specified on the Mail Order page, but enough parts for any combination. In other words there are 4 Whirlwind turrets and 4 Hunter turrets in each blister so you can make whichever formation you prefer.
Yes, it is rather a waste of the spare turrets I know, but thats just the way its been packed so please dont ask me why as I have no idea.
Hope that helps. Regards Carl
PS: Hope everyone had a nice holiday and happy 2004.

Phew! I'm very relieved to hear this. Until now I was planning on just buying the Hunter launchers as bits (is this at all possible throught Uk MO these days?) and stick them to plastic Rhino hulls.
Things to do: Include Wwhirlwind/hunters in my EA preorder
Cheers!

I'm glad you feel happy (really I am) but I think you may be in the minority mate!
Any idea how long until pre-Orders get to us here in Oz?

Great intell Drop Ship ! As I said, I'll wait until E:A reaches the US and things get sorted out ! More G/W skullduggery !!! Hopefully they eventually will sell E:A models separately or by parts ... but I doubt it !

Hi!
There's a thread on usenet trying to make a case on how "economical" the new epic line is. I find it funny when long time GW fans begin to justify just about any price scheme GW throws out.
I guess what is "expensive" and what people are willing to pay are definitely two very different things......

I don't mind the new prices, but true, they are a big jump from what they used to be. I'm still going to buy some though!
Cheers
Chris

And the nice crisp cast models will die just as fast as the chunkier old plastics anyway...well in my hands they will!

Just get use to a lot of extras.....then again extras aren't so bad. |
Since i've got more than enought Whirlwinds i'll only be using the Hunter bits. However I think the new Whirlwind launcher would look great for a Prometheus Land Raider conversion.
Cheers!

As I said I'll be buying all of the New E:A models and books. Hopefully in numbers of my choosing, not in G/W packs. But either way I'm buying and if need be selling off the extras. And as for extra turrets and bitz ... I like'm !
