Now that my 4 assignments are in one of things I want to do is post up a list, which I've had kicking round my head for a while.

What's the best way to go about writing it up? I've downloaded Adobe Acrobat Pro and I have Office 2010 already, which I'm familiar with. I tried editing some existing list pdfs in Acrobat but it didn't seem to be that functional or easy to do without messing up the formating.

Is it better to create the file in Word and then convert it to a pdf or should it all be done in Acrobat? Does anyone have a blank army list template I can fill in the details for rather than starting from scratch?

Make in word, convert to pdf with acrobat. You can then additional stuff in acrobat (bookmarks, links, buttons, notes etc) but do not try to build the document from scratch in acrobat.

I create the file in Office, then "print" the file to a .pdf using "CutePDF Writer".

Hope that helps.

but he has acrobat pro. Acrobat Pro will give an entire pdf section to the office ribbon for pdf creation options and provide it's own pdf printer.

Ok, thanks guys! I guess perhaps I didn't need Acrobat after all then as I can't see me using those extra bits, but I've not paid for it so it doesn't really matter.

To save time and better match the existing design could one of you email me a copy of a list in Word format please? Your Blood Angel list would be perfect E&C, as I'm doing a marine list myself so I could leave more unchanged.

But now you can create an interactive army list documents with embedded video, 3d objects, built in navigation, and javascript :D

I build files in Publisher rather than Word, that ok?

Yeah that would be good, thanks!

I'm just making raised beds with the vegetable society but I might have a go writing it up later.

Nope, sorry. I want to do an Exodite list in time, but I think it's probably wiser to cut my playtesting/list championing teeth on a (quite significant) variation/re-write of the existing list, rather than taking on an entirely new army for my first thing.
