On IG Autocannon suppression

IG get one Autocannon shot per two infantry bases. Do you suppress autocannon shots or infantry bases?

Infantry bases.

Another way to think of it is they each get half a shot, rounded up.

Yep. Just like if you suppress a unit with 3 shots, they lose 3 shots, if you suppress an IG stand with 1/2 shot, they lose 1/2 shot.

Arggggggggh!! I have been looking for that clarification for awhile. I know it is right under my nose. Where is that clarification? In the FAQ?

It is clear enough in the rules.
Units (and their full firepower), not attacks, are suppressed.

Yep. Since the earliest edition of the FAQ, I believe. The style in which the FAQ is almost certainly Jervis. First question under IG:

5.2.1 Imperial Guard Units

Q: How do you determine the number of Autocannon shots an Imperial Guard infantry formation has if units in it are suppressed?
A: Work out Suppression for Imperial Guard infantry before working out the number of Autocannon shots. Any Guardsman within 45cm of the enemy is assumed to be in range and may therefore be suppressed as long as they have a Line of Fire. Count the number of remaining Guard units and halve this total, rounding up, to find the number of Autocannon shots you may take.
