Cheers, the squats in are my mate Jesse's and he has all the old Squat units painted up. I got his spares (including a landtrain), but am still after bits and pieces, e.g a Goliath and Cyclops. Just a matter of patience on e-bay etc, or maybe impatience and trading...
In terms of proxies, Exodus Wars Miniatures Khazari are the obvious choice. In addition to infantry variety, they have gyrocopters, "drone controllers" that could sub for Airships (and might actually be cooler than the original concept), and a burrowing vehcile. Lacking currently are Goliath and Thunderfire proxies and the big war engines (though they have some interesting stuff in production I believe, and Dark Realm Miniatures also has some big vehicles - Castellan etc, that might be convertable). Some 40k guns could probably be modified into Goliaths easily enough. Exodus Wars bits service and creative proxying and you should be able to make a great looking Squat army again these days. Just wish Exodus Wars would hurry up with making their really big vehicle!
