I like that list quite a lot Rug.

Very BA uber assault and different to Black Templars. Nice to see someone else agrees with me on the use of Baals too. :D

there is a lot for me to consider with this army! I certainly like the all out air assault of the BA and like that list quite a lot Rug! The big stumbling point will be the cost, 4 x Thunderhawks + Landing Craft = a very empty wallet!

Hopefully ill be able to proxy it and give it a go. Its certainly captured my attention though and contains what i want in there! Also the debate has been great as to the competitiveness of them too! Keep it up!

Would you therefore take 2700pts* of EUK Marines against 3000pts of EUK Orks with confidence that it was a balanced game?

I would against steel legion with a tank company :) Sodding corners has killed those poor tanks :(

I disagree. A formation of terminators, Chaplain and 2 of the CC dreadnoughts is I think the most bang for points air assault wise in Epic (more even than the cut price 'scout landing craft horde'), 6 1/3 hits and 5 1/3MW hits. Probably not worth attaching tanks to that formation.

The Death company for me means either a flank thunderhawk attack (with or without some scouts to fill it up) or sticking in a landing craft alongside a terminator formation/2 formations of scouts/bikes and a scout formation leaving a scout stand at home. Can't really imagine using them for much else. Well, in a landing craft alongside 2 formations of scouts :)
